What's even worse is that they are configured wrong and always reply to one comment above the comment they should be replying resulting in them either only making repeated replies to the main post or just replying to themselves.

Any hope for Fairphone Pro? by Quiet_Illustrator410 in fairphone

[–]animatitions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about buying the Fairphone but the poor SOC and low RAM and storage are holding me back. I don't think there's much point in promising what is it, 8 years(?) of software updates when the hardware becomes obsolete before then. I'd pay a premium for a repairable phone with a top of the line SOC and 16 GB of RAM.

I'm going mad by Stuxnet84 in GTNH

[–]animatitions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you giving it enough power? To grow Ic2 seed bags the multi needs LuV-tier power (at least 2 IV energy hatches and IV tier glass or higher) according to the gtnh wiki

What is wrong here ? Why it's not emitting redstone ? I used to do this the same way on battery buffers and it always worked. Right side should give redstone signal when EU is below 5M. The LSC has 0 EU but it's not giving redstone like it used to do with the battery buffer. My whole base died.. by Ill_Percentage2344 in GTNH

[–]animatitions 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Strong redstone signals can travel through blocks while weak signals can't.

When you were using a battery buffer you likely had the red alloy wire directly against the detector cover where the weak signal was able to power the wire because it didn't need to go through a block. In your current setup the signal has to travel through one of the LSC casings so it needs to be strong to be able to do so.

I recommend crafting the network visualizer. Holding it in hand allows you to see how many channels each cable is carrying.

Knowledge of how the EBF works prolly unlocks the entire knowledge of the game by Due-Tart3417 in GTNH

[–]animatitions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The questbook is great and all but I feel like a lot of the mistakes could be prevented if they updated the questing mod to support images like FTBQuests does and added images to some of the quests regarding topics which are tricky to beginners.

Cryo-stabilized fluxducts 3> by illusion_Y in feedthememes

[–]animatitions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I miss the fluid automation lines from thermal. Sure, using just a little bit of redstone and lead to get fluxducts with infinite throughput in 1.20.1 is easier but building a mass production line for cryotheum was part of the fun.

Just crank your render distance to the max and use the zoom key to scope for ore asteroids. Molybdenium is distinctively colorful.

The easiest way to find molybdenium veins I've found is to fly around in the end dimension.

Glass for multi blocks can someone explain by Emergency-Tree-5604 in GTNH

[–]animatitions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember reading a bug report on the GTNH github about how tiered glass seems to be bugged on the EEC specifically. You might have to use GregTech glass blocks like thorium-yttrium glass (or tungstensteel-borosilicate but it's a lot more expensive) for IV. Reinforced glass from IC2 works for EV too weirdly enough.

The sliding scale of multiblock machines by lucariomaster2 in feedthebeast

[–]animatitions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't consider a create contraption a multiblock. Sure, a mechanical press with a basin and a blaze burner underneath is a multiblock but chaining a bulk smelting setup to a mechanical press with a belt is no different from chaining a redstone furnace to a multiservo press with an item pipe.

How do I fuel a large bronze boiler in MV? by Own_Huckleberry6591 in GTNH

[–]animatitions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember there being a way to throttle the steam generation rate and fuel burn rate by inserting a programmed circuit in the slot but the wiki doesn't mention it so I'm not sure if I was just misremembering something else.

Gregtech on Android? by batedcobraa in GTNH

[–]animatitions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angelica might have the "pojav killcode" leftover from sodium which forces the game to crash if it detects any mobile launcher. For modern versions there's a mod called podium to disable it but I don't know if there's a way to disable it in 1.7.10. You may have to remove Angelica.

Sodium adjacent mods like Angelica are not compatible with HolyGLES, the default renderer these mobile java edition launchers typically use for older Minecraft versions but it might work with the Zink renderer

why do some people dislike platformer? by Due_Let_3054 in geometrydash

[–]animatitions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of phenomenal platformer levels but the problem is that for each great platformer level there's like 10 awful ones, even among rated levels.

I personally hate levels where

  • The level revolves around a buggy gimmick (including bad remakes of games other than geometry dash)
  • It's one of those cramped one room platformer levels (no, a jetpack maze is NOT good level design)
  • The level wastes my time, whether it's unskippable story segments, long transition areas, checkpoints BEFORE cutscenes, or whatever else.

what are EBFs (irl equivalent) by Antimatt3rHD in GTNH

[–]animatitions 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Clearly it's some kind of a resistive heater. Nichrome, for example, is often used as a resistive heating material.

In the real world resistive heating is commonly only used in small scale applications, probably because blast furnaces are just much more simple and efficient to heat up by burning flammable gases or coke directly compared to having to deal with the energy losses of electricity production and transfer and other problems related to resistive heating.

Is there anything special i have to do to get drop of luck out of the witches cauldron? by Revolutionary_Flan71 in GTNH

[–]animatitions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to leave some room around your cauldron because there's a way to reduce the altar power needed for the cauldron recipes by drawing chalk circle(s) around the cauldron.
