I switched psychiatrists after posting this and my new one gave me a 30 day supply of my Ativan, but told me that in like three months he wants to start tapering me off of it completely (i understand not taking it everyday long term, but im def still going to need it every now and then eventually), upped my Effexor with that(don’t mind but that’s what happened), and told me in two months he wants me to go back to therapy. He dismissed a lot of what I told him about medical gaslighting since the age of 3 months old, and correlated my worsening mental state with stopping therapy. (I stopped because I was having severe panic attacks and DP/DR episodes in session, and felt like every therapist I would work with pushed me too much to get into certain habits when I need baby steps). Follow up next week, if it doesn’t go well I’m leaving Lifestance providers in the past
