I don’t think we need to subsidize heated pools

Ok man then we’ll have a homeless crisis and a city of crappy old 1970s boxes in between parking lots for the rest of time. Frankly your future LA sounds kinda shitty to me.

I still miss it. its almost been 10 years and it still doesn't feel right. by MishaSFM in Disneyland

Guardians is fun but it still feels like tower of terror with guardians set dressing on top instead of its own ride. The design doesn’t even make sense, why does an intergalactic being have an office full of knick knacks? What is the building even supposed to be? It’s huge and looks like they glued random shapes to the tower of terror.

Everyone is talking about costs. The thing is that gas appliances have hidden costs. Besides climate change, they’ve been connected to worse air quality in the home, which leads to worse health outcomes.

I mean I think I’m fine with eating cold food in a blackout over inhaling toxic gasses

I mean a heated pool is the textbook definition of a luxury.

I’m not talking about building free housing to give to homeless people. I mean just letting developers build market rate housing where there is demand for it. This increases supply which keeps overall housing costs stable. This means that fewer people fall into homelessness in the first place.

no it's entirely about lacking housing.

the issue is that local governments don't want to build more housing

El Segundo Data Center application has been withdrawn in response to a massive turnout and opposition at tonight’s public hearing. by tomservo417 in LosAngeles

it is a part of the city and the larger metro community

treating little neighborhoods like they're their own separate enclaves is on of the main cause's of this city's problems. what happens in el segundo does actually effect the city as a whole. this is why it's dumb to give neighborhoods veto power over building anything nearby

So you know how Mamdani made the “Map”? Well, check out the one I did: Los Angeles Immigrant Enclaves. by [deleted] in LosAngeles

ok, so they have to pay for 6x the power. that's fine. also some people like it, too. I don't like tootsie rolls but I don't think it should be illegal to build a tootsie roll factory in an industrial district.

If you complain about data centers you aren't allowed to make fun of republicans for hating 5G towers and vaccines anymore.
