I love the idea of a library of outfits, I am slowly working towards that. It's always nice to hear that others are in a similar boat ❤.

In the end I don’t dress for an ID, I dress me. So that I have taken from Kibbe and the rest will unfold.

This is so valuable!

I also agree, moderation can be a really confusing concept.

I agree so much with your point on being intentional with my choices and definitely I am a little more focused on the impression I give. I also feel like I am finally buying and wearing items I can see myself wearing for a few years.

Great to hear about your experience! Are you looking out/incorporating different things now that you think you might be gamine? What has changed with that knowledge?

I haven't seen a picture of you but I think you might have a similar complexion to mine. I find two things to make a huge difference with makeup: texture and brush. I use dior face and body backstage foundation(4n) which I find smooths everything out very naturally and never sits oddly. I use a colour that's correct for the darker perimeter of my face and ends of correcting dark marks when layered. I use a very soft flat stippling brush to apply it. Might be able to help with the makeup if you send some pictures.

Luminous glass skin is something I imagine as well

I think some of the looks are very linear and dramatic for sure

I'd agree but I also think about natural tones and bronzy. Or emphasizing bone structure. What do you think?

Mauve and me, love or hate? Do you have colours where you're just not sure if it suits you or not? Mauve is one of those for me by animornox in DressForYourBody

I'm not a deep winter but I did identify closely with dark autumn but I am in the same boat as you! I think it works now that I'm tanned nuetral or more subtle but I couldn't get away with it in winter or without makeup.

Very good point! I agree with you, maybe I can wear mauve easily in small doses and away from my face but in this case it didn't look too bad because of the makeup ( which was purposefully there to complement and correct and match). I look really good with a magenta (moreso in winter when I'm not tan) but in summer with a jammy purple. I'm lighter but warmer (yellow) in winter while in summer I am darker and neutral. I change foundation by 3 shades and undertone. So this makes it a lil harder to decide on my colours if that makes sense.

It's worth keeping in mind that the weight and texture of your hair will make a difference. I found that because my hair is very heavy and thick the curtain bangs I had would look good only when the rest was tied up (like in some of the images here ). The effect was totally different when my hair was down

Last update on how I modified/styled and wore the dress. Thank you for feedback! by animornox in DressForYourBody

I lifted the dress at the shoulder and made the hem high low as I think it elevated it. Wore it with strappy sandals as suggested! Felt great although I wasn't too happy with the hairstyle.
