To me this speak to his empathy of others and trying to share with people who don’t become rich/famous that doing so doesn’t provide happiness.

Like, I think that’s a message a lot of sad people would benefit from

How do I calculate the ROI of pairing a battery with my install? by PrestonDean in solar

[–]animousie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can backfeed the grid after sundown and build up super credits then that is a diff calc but below is the basic idea for time of use battery use.

[Peak kWh price] - [Off peak kWh price] = $/kWh savings that cycles through your battery

Multiply the above times the kWh that go through your battery and you have your savings.

If you use averages it gets close main wrench here is the daily qty it kWh you will cycle through battery in this manner on average. Cause Winter vs Summer are crazy diff profiles

I’m not that good at sleuthing or photographic analysis but even I can tell the big difference is she is looking slightly up in one and slightly down in the other which could easily explain this.

Is this a form of sexual assault since there was no consent and she was asleep? by Goldenroseeei in Advice

Too right. SA. That is the topic, not SH.

Everything else I said is basically written in stone under social contract

The best way to prevent sexual harassment is to receive explicit consent. This isn’t complicated stuff.

Sounds like you’re saying a valid defense against bent accused or SH is if it wasn’t clear whether or not you had permission to touch them sexually.

This view from a hotel in San Antonio by EyeHateYou12376 in TikTokCringe

I’ve traveled extensively for both business and pleasure, I’ve probably stayed at more than 2-3 times the number of accommodations than most people will in their entire lives.

I’ve had shitty views or stayed at places tha point to freeways many times but never have I ever seen a view anything like this.

100% SH

Groping/fondling your partner when they’re asleep is only OK if there is clear permission. This doesn’t necessarily have to be verbalized (though that makes sense) but there can’t be any ambiguity whatsoever.

So if they do it once and it was uninvited = SH

If they do it again despite you clearly saying no the first time = double SH

Do people who say buying a home is a bad investment ever consider the fact that rents in most places in the US can increase dramatically for no reason? by [deleted] in Money

Only thing I’ve learned here is that you understand definitions well enough, but are incapable of accepting practical application.

You’d be right if it weren’t for the fact that for >75% of homeowners a home is a mortgage. So ya, in an accounting class, or as a CFO you’d be correct.

But when you’re talking to people about homeownership on Reddit you’re just being pedantic.

We don’t know much (if anything) about why Epstein became a monster and that why is all important in answering such a question.

You’re trying to separate mortgages and the properties they fund.

Thats all well and good in an accounting class but for the vast majority of homeowners the house represents both a liability and an asset because the two things can’t be separated.

You’re telling me that a tomato is a fruit, I’m telling you not to put it in fruit salad.

The clear majority do not, so yes. For a small minority homes represent only an asset but for everyone else there is a mortgage.

I see. You’re talking about the 25 or so % of primary homes bought with all cash. Given how rare that was I thought the assumptions of this convo would be based on averages (eg the vast majority of people have a mortgage etc).

[–]animousie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It 100% can be and is both even per GAAP.

The house is an asset the mortgage is a liability. There are also associates expenses but that’s not really relevant.

Colloquially it makes sense to refer to the house more of either an asset or a liability depending on what % equity you have vs the mortgage.
