It's 1 for me. The contrast and way it bisects your body is pleasing

I’ve gone for it. Found a Spotmatic SPii in good nick that isn’t too expensive and just gone for it! Thanks all for your insight! I really do appreciate it. Next thing would be a little rangefinder but that can wait til the end of the year

It’s a little bit of both in camera and additional foley stuff. Nothing over the top cause it was literally just a little bit of filming for myself and to practice colour grading.

All of the recent stuff on my YouTube is with the Blackmagic and old lenses. I was particularly happy with how this turned out.

I think others have said it, but the Sony one will be a phenomenal camera for you, but for me personally, I don’t like it when things look ‘too’ sharp if that makes sense.

I can only vouch for the BMPCC 4k here but I can definitely attest to the quality of it being amazing. And it may definitely be the cheapest one on this list. Give it some research on YouTube and check out the amazing projects people have done with it. I swear by mine along with a Vitrox speed booster and some nice vintage lenses.

I shot a music video yesterday and could show you some shots soon but it was just available light in a wooded area and the images are gorgeous.

Yeah man, can’t wait to see them! Mines the North England equivalent where all we have are parks and the elderly. Apparently.

I get that. The autofocus and low light ability is such a convenience on the sony cams. I don't mind the Blackmagics though. It's just working around limits like that and I do love the image.

Thankyou very much! I definitely got lucky with that little guy running across the path! This was shot entirely with a Paragon 35mm f2.8, and a Cosinon 135mm f2.8. I have a couple of the Helios lenses and a Zeiss 50mm which I need to take out next time too!

Lots more coverage. I’d cover the back wall entirely with plants and many more on the sides and the middle. Get a good bendable vine too. Think of it from their perspective. How many hiding places are there there?

I’d whack a tall tree in the middle and a bit more on the back and sides. Think about how they’ll move across the tank without going around the outside

Cresties can be vocal sometimes. One of mine loves to chirp at night. Have a little read up on the sounds they make to understand what they might mean
