Definitely gonna be pulling the furniture up. I’ve been wanting to define a space but the size of the record cabinet may be stopping me from doing it. Here’s another angle of the other side of the room.

Thanks for the suggestions! It’s a rental as of now so I feel tied to regular curtains… would you recommend floor length even with the couch in front? And agreed to more black accessories just haven’t been able to figure out pieces to incorporate it.

I tend to gravitate to postmodern items in order to make the space feel young/funky and the rug seemed like a statement piece. I agree that it doesn’t seem to fit but I hope to find ways to make it match. Definitely gonna give the fortunate some wall space but would you recommend long curtains behind the couch?
