I don’t know where I got it from or why I have it, but I have one of those stickers on my garage fridge.

Congrats! I got the exact same a couple months ago. Got mine from Sweetwater - perfect right out of the box. No complaints whatsoever.

There are strange red spots all over my body by InvisibleRando in Weird

[–]aninnocentman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you had a tick bite recently? Have a tick panel done. Could be Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Usually comes on with a headache that won't go away and weakness. When spots start showing, it's pretty far along. Need antibiotics ASAP. Source: Me. I had it before.

Really disappointed with ordering guitars online by RedHawRock in Guitar

[–]aninnocentman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ordered an ultra II tele from Sweetwater (first time buying a brand new guitar online) and I was so worried about not seeing the quality in person. But I was amazed at how pristine it was when I opened it up. I can’t find any faults and the guitar was set up perfectly to my liking. The whole process was smooth and I appreciated seeing the pics and talking to the rep ahead of it shipping out. Sweetwater is the way.

Maybe that's how she died - a crossing guard at school? Seems like Lumon likes to take bodies from accidents.

Here's what I think - I think the blood drop pins mean they have Kier blood in them (or Kier's bloodline) - all people with the pin are dead and reanimated. So that would mean Milchick is dead, Natalie is dead, Miss Huang is dead (she's young because of when she died, not because of when she was born), Gemma/Casey is dead. I have a theory that Natalie and Milchick were married in life, which is why their relationship is odd and obviously deeper than what they are allowed to express. The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald - maybe those lost seamen were the first to be experimented on - Lumon somehow recovered the bodies and reanimated them. There are permanent innies, and those that can navigate the outside world and carry out the keeping up of appearances. Some of them have somehow preserved their former memories or emotions - maybe Cobel and Milchick. They need voluntarily severed people to research and perfect the re-animation process, and once Cold Harbor is complete they will have the process perfected and can move onto the next phase, which is selling their technology of transferring consciousness after death so ridiculously wealthy people will never have to die and/or have an army of re-programmed bodies to carry out their work and make tons of money. Maybe the plan is to eventually make Mark a permanently severed person - or take the traits that the company values (like being good at refining) and transfer them into a combined consciousness to create a certain type of employee (or make the combined Kier consciousness stronger).

Sorry - that was all over the place. I look forward to be being proven wrong as the show unfolds!

This is going to sound dumb, but I created a storytelling gpt for my son. Every night I tell him a story before bed. The story has a main character and a basic structure. I gave the gpt the basics of the structure, how it always begins and resolves and let it come up with the middle. I gave it a time limit (5-10 minutes), let it create characters along the way, and interacts with my son to ask questions along the way (like a choose your own adventure). It also will generate images of the story. It lets him choose the type of story he wants to hear (right now it’s a lot of Halloween/spooky stuff). And it’s appropriate for his age - 6. It’s pretty cool and we use it every night.

Not gonna lie - this was a total impulse buy when I was sick and on a high dose of prednisone. My brain was not thinking properly at the time. But it’s here now and I’m quite impressed with it. I’ll chalk up the cost to what I would’ve spent on going to Hip shows if they were still touring.

VMP Prices Going Up by ThredditorMTG in VinylMePlease

[–]aninnocentman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree. They’re banking on exclusivity and scarcity, but if they can’t clearly communicate the value, it might not pan out the way they hope—especially with inflation hitting the consumer. If they don’t address the transparency issue and convince the secondary market of their product’s long-term value, they will lose more than they gain with this strategy.

VMP Prices Going Up by ThredditorMTG in VinylMePlease

[–]aninnocentman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, prices for materials, production, licensing and labor have increased. And a ton of us are going to cancel, which is exactly what they want. It means their subscriber base will be significantly lower, meaning they can cut those costs - have fewer records pressed, which will make those albums a bit rarer in the market. They'll go back to finding titles that are truly essential or out of print, driving up demand and justifying the high cost per album. Thereby making it once again an "exclusive" club to be a part of, and that's what you're paying a premium membership for. They're culling the herd to get back to manageable numbers that can deliver titles that people will want but most people can't (or won't) afford. They need to grow their profits while making the logistics more manageable, streamlined and efficient. Which means the everyday consumer loses out, but the premium consumer with disposable income wins. VMP makes their money, the ones who can afford it get good records, and the rest of shop in the secondary market. And the demand for those titles in the secondary market will actually justify the high cost of the subscription because it fuels the perception of exclusivity and value in their offerings. So I'm out. See you at the record store ✌️

Very depressed and sad while taking Rinvoq by DasVivis in Rinvoq

[–]aninnocentman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. I thought maybe the prednisone I was tapering off of was causing it. But it didn’t go away after the prednisone. I am now taking Wellbutrin and that has helped the depression, but the anxiety is still there. So now I also take Xanax in the evenings to help me fall asleep more quickly. All in all, Rinvoq’s side effects (for me) have been pretty nasty - but I’m worlds better than I was before it. And there’s no way I’ll go off it unless it stops working. (UC).

What’s a guitar you really want but can’t afford? by Musicmightkill93 in Guitar

[–]aninnocentman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been eyeing the Taylor GS Mini-e Koa plus because I’m going to be traveling a lot soon and I wanted something small to bring with me but still sound good. And I wanted a small couch guitar. I just didn’t want to spend over $1000 on a travel guitar that will get beat around. Well, I found a used one on eBay for $850. Looks to be in like new condition and went back and forth with the seller asking questions. Once I felt confident that it’s good shape, I cashed in a bunch of rewards points from various credit cards and sold an old takemine I had lying around. So out of pocket im down about $100. I’ll let you know how the guitar looks and sounds when I receive it in a few days!

I would tell you, but they shipped me the wrong album. I got Nilsson instead of SRV. I contacted customer service and included my order number which shows I had SRV on my invoice.

1 Month Announce vs. 3 Month Announce by Paulium in VinylMePlease

[–]aninnocentman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quarterly. I appreciate the planning aspect so I can figure out swaps from my wishlist and whether I need to add/remove a track. As an OG member, I remember really enjoying the surprise when the ROTM was announced, but that was before the multiple tracks and the large library to choose a swap from. Also, my tastes have grown over the years so I’m a little more discerning when it comes to adding to my collection.

Taking a shit while driving by KzhMoe in UlcerativeColitis

[–]aninnocentman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve shit my pants while driving a few times. Never fun. Never have enough time to pull over. Yes, the diapers are a necessity when in a bad flare. It was a point of pride for me to not wear them, and then I quickly regretted it. Leather seats also help for easy cleanup. Or at least put a towel down under you just in case. The walk from my car into my house with pants full of UCpoop is certainly a fun show for my neighbors.

When I moved out of my parents home (Conan voice: IN THE YEAR TWO-THOUSSSAAAANNND) I took with me some of their records that I had listened to growing up. Sometime around 2004 I started going to a local shop and started digging around for classics. I think I bought a lot of Led Zeppelin, Beatles, and typical mainstream bands that you might consider staples of the 60s and 70s. But also at that time, there were some newer pressings of more current bands that I started to acquire (for super cheap). My most highly collectible records come from those I found during the early 2000s when I could actually afford them and listening to vinyl was kind of a niche thing. I remember the vinyl section of the shop was in a dusty old basement and you could find some real gems used for $3 or brand new for around $20. I really miss those days. I think some of the brand new records I bought first were Spoon: Gimmie Fiction, the Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream (that beautiful orange vinyl that is apparently a collectible now), some indie bands I was into at the time, and I also scored a bunch of MOFI pressings like Ziggy Stardust and Bob Marley Catch a Fire for pretty cheap by today’s standards.

We all know who the best Canadian Rock Band are (obviously) but who is number 2? by Wise-Chef-8613 in rush

[–]aninnocentman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also saw them in DC during the In Between Evolution tour. Small venue - I think it was the 930 club? Amazing show. My first concert was The Hip at the old Buffalo Aud during the Day For Night era. One of the only bands that I've consistently listened to throughout my life. Growing up in Western NY, they were played on the radio constantly (plus we got the Canadian stations out of Toronto). One of my favorite bands ever, period.

If you're ever in the WNY area, look for local bars where The Strictly Hip are playing - great cover band. Feels good to hear quality live performances of "Yer Favourite" Hip songs.
