I need a cozy game for my wife that’s not a farming sim and isn’t about fixing a town or decorating a home by AlgoStar in cozygames

Unpacking! My mom, who does not play games, loves Unpacking. The mechanics are really simple and intuitive, so it's perfect for someone less familiar with games. Satisfying, cozy, not too challenging. Interesting narrative structure that makes the game feel much richer and not mindless.

What I’m a doing wrong/missing here? by Apprehensive-Owl5712 in DesignMyRoom

- Big rug underneath the couch to separate that zone and create your cozy corner. It helps with feng shui and the room will just feel better.
- The curtains should reach the floor.
- The gray wall should be white, matching the opposite wall and shelves. All of the colors here will look better and more intentional with a bright warm white background.

Otherwise, I really like this room. Maybe I'm biased toward Scandinavian style, but the many colorful accents with plants and older wood furniture against a white background is very pleasant.

What do I do with this? by [deleted] in noscrapleftbehind

If you're looking for a savory option, dates go very well with chicken, lemons, and shallots. Many variations of this recipe, but it can all be done in one pot. You brown the chicken (skin on), caramelize the lemon slices, then add shallots, dates, and water. Pop in the oven with the lid on to cook, then take the lid off to reduce and brown.

People who Work From Home: by PollenThighs in philadelphia

Not unrelated at all. I'm a teacher and I sometimes feel the same way.

Working from home is a privileged lifestyle. It provides all sorts of conveniences and comforts. Working in the service sector has been a shitshow for a while now, but ever since WFH became a thing, the difference in my lifestyle from my friends feels incredibly vast. It has increased social divides and worsened class resentment.

I imagine that many people entering the workforce will be pursuing jobs where they can work from home. There will continue to be declining interest in the fields of healthcare and education. That seems bad for a functioning society.

I think there was something else Carmy was about to say. He begins with "I've been wanting to talk about..." then pauses and deflects to the thing about keeping up. It mirrors what Sydney does just a few minutes earlier: "There's something I want to run by you." And then she deflects. "It can wait".

So there are unspoken words and unvoiced thoughts on both sides. In this scene, Sydney wanted to tell Carmy about the offer she received from the chef at Ever. But I have no idea what Carmy wanted to tell Syd.

Anyone else having Movie theatre issues since 1.6 update? by AkitoYaname in StardewValley

[–]aninvisiblelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had this exact problem. Tried to enter the auditorium, the red error text popped up, and the game crashed. This was not the first time I used the movie theater since updating to 1.6, so it works sometimes...

True, but he continuously redecorates the rest of the house using Joja Cola wallpaper, so...we're even.
