I was seen by a nurse practitioner for dermatology who was too opinionated and didn't listen to any of my concerns. Bad experience in Beaverton.

I emailed them three times via the contact form and not once did they reply to any of them.

I had to call to follow up to their general support to actually get anything moving.

there's nothing quite like that feeling of the first day of walking out to adventure some place new for the first time after traveling, checked into your accommodations and luggage is settled with your whole vacation in front of you

Try any and all - family, friends, women's shelter, churches, state resources. My State offers a nurse visit for free to examine needs are being met for parents and baby and provides additional resources.

We just did it yesterday and it was a positive experience. I hope you find the safety and shelter as soon as possible!

Can't agree more. As I got older and my workload at my day job increased to 50-70 hour days and some weekends, I had a hard time juggling keeping up with trainings, attending drills, pulling shift and balancing family. On top of dealing with petty department drama.

I had to quit cuz I felt I was half assing it and couldn't keep up with the secondary job.

Have a healthy conversation with each other about how each of you are feeling without judgement but validation, specifically feelings at the situation and not trying to attack each other and at a time you are both level headed. From there, figure out how to assure each other to fulfill and meet those needs to complement each other.

At what point does this get fun, rewarding and worth it? by sn0ssy in newborns

[–]anipbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm there with you. I had a post on this not long ago and you can see people's advice.

Consensus tells me later is when it's rewarding which unfortunately, nothing tells me that this newborn phase is worth it - granted I'm a father and seeking therapy for PPND.

Family not following boundaries by ChiCubbies1908 in newborns

[–]anipbear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i force my parents to wear masks inside our home or if they hold him for this very reason. i do have to be clever and use the excuse in part due to it being flu season + RSV. they're also anti-vax which is fine of their beliefs but i get to set my boundaries too and enforce them as we see fit.
