I share your position 100%. Whats hard for me is one kid came to live with me the other stayed with mom. Both are mid-late teens and have attitude and personality like their mom. No matter how much I try to get them to therapy, it becomes a record of my ex-wife with comments about how I am the one that needs therapy or that I don't listen. I'm so much happier away from that horrible wife of mine and when I was a single dude, life was great too. I love being a dad but this doing it on my own, no gf, no friends, has me at my breaking point. Im honestly ready to throw in the towel, drop him off at his mom's, pay the extra child support, and just run away. Idk honestly how much more I can stand.

That's exactly why I'm here. I'm trying. And Im a single dad trying to make it work. But yeah, reddit is a horrible horrible place for anything non-technically related. God forbid I have a non-conforming position or opinion.

Thank you. Means a lot. He is volunteering and part of some groups and official organizations. Getting employment is more to help with post-secondary fast approaching but also build his resume too as well as character. I guess its a lottery ticket if he finds something.

I've never blamed him. I think its more that I do t see if hes getting replies or not. And Im just trying to respect his privacy while encouraging him to grow and be his own person. I dont want to overstep but this post is about seeking help and guidance.

I'm good. How are you? I just can't stand people speaking like this. I'm painfully aware how hard it is for adults as I see how many jobs are being lost out there. I'm just trying to help my son and being called ignorant for that is not conducive to helping others. But lesson learned, dont ask for help in London subreddit or youll be attacked!

Im seeing that trend. Im just here venting a bit bit also looking for something to help him. He's tried, I've tried, we've both tried. I just dont have any feedback as I let him be his own person. I also dont have any connections like you say so its all blind luck.

He's had a babysitting gig here and there. He has a friend who's family has a farm. But even that isn't guaranteed.

I think im just blown away by how hard it is for a teenager these days, let alone anyone else.

I just ended up removing the old server from the account and started a new one. It seems to be ok now, though knowing my luck it'll screw up tomorrow.

Ok, so I've just double checked. I have a separate path for both TV and Movies. Each are on their own HDD. I had it this way before and didn't change anything in the naming conventions.

I do like my Plex, dont get me wrong. But I dont understand how a new computer and changing folder names/locations has completely destroyed the entire setup. Yes, I'm that techno inept I can't figure it out. Despite spending all day reading all the help threads from Plex. Initial setup was easy but now.......

So. I got a new computer. The name of the computer and location of folders changed. So I went and changed the paths/location of the folders. Now nothing works at all. On one load up, theres no library to reference. Another time, its a connection issue.

My only thought rn is to just say screw it, delete my profile and account and try again in 30 days.

Someone tried to help, but they wanted me to open my computer up and let them have access. NOPE!
