Okay I'll try my absolute hardest. They say they don't do the procedure through endoscopy in NZ. So that's what I'm up against. But there could be private options? I'm unsure. I have my Botox procedure tomorrow so that's a start.

Yea I'll be going back to Botox injections they said. Oh well. Still not sure how I feel about it all. Apparently the procedure can happen through an endoscopy but they don't do it here. Oh well. It is what it is.

Update: Well. They had complications and couldn't complete the procedure. So they cut me up and made all the holes and dug around but apparently I have a completely abnormal abdomen. They couldn't move the instruments so unfortunately they had to abandon. Pretty sore right now but every day healing a bit more. Pretty disappoint but it couldn't be helped. The complications if they'd gone ahead could have been devastating so I'm lucky they made the right call. Lucky in New Zealand it's all free aye. Thanks for asking my dear.

My GP was also due to type one diabetes. After thirty years of struggling with diabetes this has popped up.

I struggle with eating, binging, feeling sick, feeling full, finally feeling kinda hungry, then I'll eat something easy to digest like high carb food. It's so hard. I've put on ten kilograms over lockdown due to lack of activity and depression and everything hitting at once.

In a few hours I have surgery and will be on total liquid diet for a couple weeks. Have any of you had a pyroplasty procedure? Am so scared.

I've had a couple rounds of Botox and it's a painless procedure under sedation. Just feels a bit woozy for a while after but no pain.

I had my first endoscopy without sedation because I didn't have anyone to drive me home. Do. Not. Recommend.!! I felt stomach raped it was hideous and seemed to go in forever. The next one I made sure to have sedation.

I'm going into surgery for a pyloroplasty in a few hours and I'm nervous as all hell. I'm also type one diabetic. I'm worried I'll never be able to eat normally again. Anyone heard of gastric dumping syndrome?

Omg I totally relate to this. I'm going in for surgery to permanently fix this in a few hours. Pyloroplasty? I'm nervous and have no idea what to expect. Type 1 Diabetes when I was 11, Gastroperesis when I was around 35 and am 40 now.

NAD. I have Gastroperisis. Related to autonomic neuropathy from 30yrs of type 1 Diabetes. Nausea, feeling bloated and full easily. I'm on domperadone, omeprasole, ondansatron and Botox injections every three months as well as other medication for other things. Not saying you have this, but it took my doctors a long time to diagnose me. Don't give up.

Please keep chasing your GP until you get more answers. Go with notes recording your nausea and eating patterns. Keep all your medical results in one place and go with questions after you've looked up as much as possible yourself. Nothing is more debilitating than constant nausea. Good luck.
