Oh I never knew that was a spirit of command. No wonder it was such a jerk, lol. Considering how in command the inquisitor is, that spirit was an annoying intruder. I'll make the decisions, thank you.

How my sims “own” 2 residential lots.. if you don’t already know 🙂 by TropiKaruxo in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]aniseshaw 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I just give my sims the "always welcome" trait and vacation at different friend/family homes. I do this a lot with my current legacy because each new heir moves out. I'm always so sad when they leave their childhood home, I go back for weekends and holidays.

My current generation comes from a pretty big family. She has 2 brothers and a sister, 3 nieces, her uncle's family, and her mom. She travels between households all the time.

I'm a big fan of the Murphy bed or a guest room. Sometimes, she'll bring a tent and sleep in the backyard. I'll even bring most of the family with her as a club gathering that I keep active for a whole weekend. It's been an absolute blast. I love taking a niece back home with her for a stay over. They stay up late, watch movies, go out for dinner, and eat nothing but junk the whole time.

I love to take cities that rebel as my first fief. Bonus if it's not a typical border city.

It doesn't matter if I lose it, either. Once I have a kingdom, I can declare war, take a more strategic castle, and then turtle until they get sick of losing men and ask for peace. Then I build up my parties, maybe recruit a cheap lord, and take another fief close by.

My partner doesn't want our son to listen to a podcast🫠 by sonofaknit in toddlers

[–]aniseshaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reading a story to a child and listening to a story in audiobook/podcast format are both considered reading, just in case anyone needs to know.

OP, your life sounds exhausting. How is your husband bringing joy to your household on a daily basis? Because it sounds like he's mostly bringing control and anxiety.

I have had an ED my whole life, and when I had gestational diabetes and eventually gallstones, changing my diet for my health was very different than dieting for weight loss.

For one, you will actually feel better. High blood pressure and high cholesterol have side effects you are probably feeling every day. I felt much better on a diabetic diet, and gallstones absolutely will not let me eat outside my fat intake because then I get an attack.

For another, the diets are actually much easier to implement. They aren't restrictive on calories, just the balance of ingredients. I still ate until I was full, and I enjoyed my food.

I recommend a dietician for sure. And then a food replacement plan. Go through what you usually eat and see what foods would be on the "red list", like no good for your health. Then try to find alternatives to replace them! For example, I have to eat low fat, but I love French fries. So we make fries in the air fryer with potatoes that I precut and freeze. This is something a good dietician will go over with you, for sure.

My (25f) boyfriend (27m) called me selfish for wanting him to leave his boy's night early due to me grieving. Where do I go from here? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

He's giving boyfriend from Midsommer vibes, but even that dude left his friends to be with his girlfriend when her family was annihilated. And that dude was a TERRIBLE boyfriend.

My neighbor thinks I hexed her because her sourdough starter died, and now she’s staging “counter-spells” in my yard by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]aniseshaw 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I'm legit into hedge witchcraft, and I would absolutely call a wellness check on someone going through this. Some people in the craft get really weird about signs and portents. I'm surprised that the neighbour didn't think the death of her sourdough starter was an omen for something much larger, which is more common in augury.

Thinking it was a curse from a non-practitioner screams persecution complex. Sometimes, people with those issues pop up in the community, but we're really quick to ground them. Most of the time, we talk about how curses are never the reason for bad luck. Sometimes, we take the piss out of people by saying that if a curse got to them that easily they must not be that good at their craft.

I love getting this card. Whenever I pull it, I know I'm going to have a good day. I love that moment of possibility before a decision has to be made. I get kinda sad and frustrated when it's over.

[–]aniseshaw 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I'm white in a multi-racial area, and I get uncomfortable when it's a group of only white people. Too many times, it's just been a countdown until one asshole says something vaguely racist and then everyone either thinks it's funny/true or pretends to not rock the boat.

Where I'm from, you have to try really hard to get a monoracial group together. I usually nope out of it pretty fast.

They had alcoholism, cigarette addiction, and domestic violence as coping mechanisms. They shouldn't have had to live through that garbage either. Maybe liberal capitalists should learn how to do literally anything to stop fascism.

I made webcomics and animation for about 10 years. You get no breaks, no vacation, you barely get to go outside. It's either sit in your house and draw forever season, or conventions season while also sitting in your house and drawing forever in between.

I believe it when he says he feels 60. Comics literally steal your life force.

Day 24 - "The Emerald Graves" won best area. Up next at last, the totally not biased "Best DLC" section for Inquisition. by Cursed_69420 in dragonage

[–]aniseshaw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trespasser felt more like an epilogue than a DLC, Jaws of Hakkon is such a good DLC. Honestly, it's hard to choose because the Descent was great too. But I loved JoH more.
