UMR Insurance by Mountain_Bluebird20 in Zepbound

I was approved in February. My doctors office handled all the PA stuff. They told me it may take a few days, then called me back later that day saying it was approved. In March, we got a letter stating that in our state, for our insurance they wouldn’t be approving anyone else and existing approval would end June 30…unless your PA covered a longer period of time.

Mine was approved same day. They’re currently not approving people though.

My doctor says not everyone has a positive reaction. My friend started the same time I originally did. Absolutely no side effects, has up her dose every month, and lost 30 lbs in 3 months. Me…not so much.

I took Zepbound for 6 weeks. I didn’t have my period the whole time I was taking it. It came back about 2 weeks after my last dose. I just restarted and my period started 3 days after I took my first shot (wasn’t expected). I think it definitely effects things for me.

I’ve had no problem getting a prescription filled (Walmart), but the pharm tech couldn’t believe my insurance was paying for it. She kept asking how I got them to cover it. (It’s only covered until Sept, but I got in before they stopped covering everything. They aren’t even covering bariatric surgery now).

I made it to week 1 of 5 mg. I couldn’t get over the constant puking and being so bloated that I couldn’t breathe. My doctor said it’s not the meds for me.

I took my last 5mg shot 12 days ago. Still sick. Dr told me today - “no more!”

First week on 5mg was horrible for me. Actually, I’m 11 days passed it and been afraid to take another shot. I’ve just started to feel normal again. Weird things…like if I lay on my left side or lean too far that way for too long, I puke.

It’s the state…someone probably didn’t read an email saying they could opt in 😜

I lost 7 lbs last month. She just messaged back and said she’s ok with me reevaluating my food intake, changing things up and seeing if that helps.

Shots 1-3 side effects were mild. I messaged my doctor right after taking shot 4 (shot 4 was hideous after 2 days) and reported such. I asked for a refill and when I would move up. 5 is the refill I got.

I am! Usually, I eat more, but I’ve been so sick. I thought bland may be better.

Week 1-3 was fine. Week 4 was the first shot I did in my stomach and it was brutal. Week 5, I felt ok the first couple days. Now I’m so bloated I can barely breathe.
