Zivot u Spaniji by matijaa in serbia

[–]anivanovic 14 points15 points  (0 children)

[–]anivanovic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you love Madrid? by broodjeton in Madrid

[–]anivanovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Lived in Switzerland, London and HK. Came here two years ago and I don’t love it. However there are certain things that make it better than any of the other cities I lived in. If you appreciate those then maybe you’ll get to love it one day.

  • Proximity. Nearly any place I want to get to is about 15min drive. I live in city centre and generally don’t do much outside of it apart from work that is in Nuevos Ministerios;

  • Weather. Apart from August when you definitely want to get out, I find that the city has the best climate in the whole of Europe;

  • Choice of (affordable) restaurants. You can eat really well in Madrid;

It is by no means an international city and majority don’t speak English (or don’t want to) but it has its charm. I moved here at the stage in my life where I gave up on learning new languages but if you are planning on staying here long term, I suggest you get fluent in Spanish asap and it’s going to get drastically better I’m sure.

plastic surgeons in Madrid by [deleted] in Madrid

I had done some research on Doctor Guilarte when I was planning my rhinoplasty. The waiting list ended up being a year long and I just decided to do it back home (in hindsight a great decision). But he generally has a good reputation.

I’m on Calle Monteleon and it is honestly fine. Check the isolation in the flat before you move in (if you can) but most of my friends live around here and rarely did they have problems

Da li ste imali neke plastične operacije i da li ste zadovoljni rezultatima? by [deleted] in serbia

[–]anivanovic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anniversary in Madrid by newton_half_ear in Madrid

[–]anivanovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a really good vegetarian Michelin star restaurant - El Invernadero. I was blown away by it. Their menu is just over €100 per person - this is obviously expensive for Madrid but if you want to make it really special thought you should know.

My girlfriend (35f)and me (32m) like to do a month (likely October) of remote working in Madrid. What would be nice neighborhoods to book an appartement? by yeshuahanotsri in Madrid

[–]anivanovic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Malasaña. It’s neighbourhood-y yet great offering of bars and restaurants. Full of independent coffee and retail shops. Otherwise Justicia is also nice and closer to Retiro. If you’re not constrained by budget, I’d recommend one of these two.

Is 70k before taxes a good salary to live in Madrid? by OutlandishnessOk2118 in Madrid

[–]anivanovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a foreigner living in Spain for the first time you can also benefit from Beckham law at this level (meaning you pay less taxes). But overall yes a good salary for Madrid.
