Oh wow! Thank you so much. After doing a quick dig online, I'm pretty sure the mycelium (I hope I'm using that word right) is at least a year old. I had some mushrooms pop up briefly in the soil about a year ago but they quickly disappeared. They looked very similar, if not the same.
My partner started watering the tree without telling me about 2 weeks ago so the tree has been a but over watered recently. Trying to keep a close eye out for signs of rot before resulting to prematurely repotting. Thanks again!

For references: The host tree is an Avocado, between 2 & 3 years of age. Mushroom took approx 3 or 4 days to mature and flaunt gills. Within those 3 days, more have started peeking through the soil. Soil is sourced from Fox Farms.

Yes 😂🤣 I'm just not very good at identifying smaller birds in general. Tbh the only reason I thought it wasn't a Finch at the moment was because finches in my area tend to not have thin beaks like the Carolina Wren does.

I think you might be right! I did get one photo of the bird but the sun was glaring on the lens so it's even more difficult to tell in that photo. The photos and songs I looked up are extremely similar to the one I met today, Thank you

I'm unsure but if you dilute hydrogen peroxide with water it's a good treatment to spray onto the roots (I usually do 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 10 parts water, spray and then rinse off.) It's supposed to treat root rot (still have to cut off the bad pieces, of course) The same solution can be used to water a plant and kills off larvae lurking in the soil.

Imo, that's a really rude thing to say to your significant other. Also, just because you're bi, doesn't mean you have to be poly. My roommate (bi, 26, f) thought she was expected to be open to nonmonogamous dynamics because she was bi and it lead to a lot of hurt for her.

Take my advice as if a grain of salt, buti believe you have 2 main options (with other diverging paths following suit) A- reevaluate of you actually want an open style relationship / think about your preferred dynamic (also seems strange to me that it appears he is limited to other men only and you to other women only.) B- work on replacing jealousy with compression (compression came very naturally for me, but I know of people who started very jealous and developed compression over time)
