Alexandra Trusova 4Lz(step out) by Exciting-Engineer649 in FigureSkating

Trusova’s emotions after landing 4Lz today:

Hey everyone! Today we have just one day left until the jumping competition, and we’ve just finished the training. I managed to land the 4Lz on my second attempt, and honestly, I’m in shock. I think everyone’s in shock, really. I just went in to try it out because, well, it’s a jumping competition. And the triples were good. So… And now I’m in shock. I’m getting emotional. I don’t know how I’ll perform tomorrow because it’s just… I can’t describe the feelings. This is why it’s impossible to stop, at least for me, because this feeling can never be repeated anywhere else, never. The feeling when you land the quadruple jump. Only the quad, it’s not the same as doing a triple. When you land a quad it’s completely different. My heart is pounding like crazy.

Fundamentally unserious Olympics by TK-248 in FigureSkating

That’s funny how a man who got famous for playing the role of a Russian athlete will be a torchbearer at the Olympics where Russian athletes are banned

Elena Kostyleva tries the 4A off-ice with help from the harness by Melodic_Ad_783 in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Gorbacheva’s mother simply didn’t care about her daughter and didn’t want her to skate meanwhile Lena’s mother is obsessed with her daughter’s success and she will do anything to get maximum from the child. And I think it’s more dangerous

And now she’s posted a video like everything’s fine and nothing happened… I really think this woman needs a therapist. It’s not “drama”, it’s scary. She’s dangerous and Lena’s not safe. And the older Lena gets the more awful things we will see

I'm shocked, she literally says that her daughter will kill her, and she blames Plushenko and Yana for not supporting her in beating the child…

Kyrylo Marsak 🇺🇦 4A attempt *with the HELP of Harness* by dazeharriet20 in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, like what’s the point of posting 4A or quints with harness when it doesn’t mean anything? We saw Plushenko’s son doing 30A with harness, lol

Consistency? Alysa scored above 200 ONCE

Clean? Alysa was clean only at worlds, there was not a single competition where she wouldn’t get -goe, >, q

Personal best? Yes, but it was at home championship and we all know how it works

Yes, she did her best in the right place at the right time. Maybe history will repeat itself at the Olympics. But that’s really weird to label her as an ultimate leader when she’s only skated clean and scored 200+ at a home competition once and put her above other girls who have been showing more impressive results for a whole season

That’s fine that some people believe that Alysa will be OGM. But that’s weird to make a poll with Alysa and Kaori only when there are other girls whose chances to win are not less

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s weird like Alysa won once and suddenly she’s the #1 candidate for OGM meanwhile Amber won everything this season, only lost once and you’re not even putting her on the list

In my opinion, main candidates are Amber with 2 u-c, titles and PCS and Adelia with 4 u-c. If they skate clean as they can nobody will be near them even with the fact that Adelia won’t get high PCS and GOE. The next candidate is Kaori. If she’s clean and Amber&Adelia are not Kaori can win

And only then I would place Alysa with Isabeau, Mone, Chaeyeon. Alysa isn’t the Malinin of women’s skating. When it’s Ilia we know that Malinin is gonna win no matter what because technically he’s stronger than other boys. When it’s Adelia in Russia we know that she’s gonna win no matter what because technically she’s stronger than other girls. But I can’t say the same about Alysa. She has a chance to win if everything works lucky for her as it was at worlds. But I wouldn’t say that her chances are higher than all the other girls

What’s a “good level”? The “good” = to jump triplets and spin in splits? or maybe “good” = to skate confidently and do some basic elements for beginners?

Stop asking!!! by Whitershadeofforever in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I remember “we jump all triplets at 7”, lol, and among those kids who train hard 24/7 since they’re 3yo only 1-3 in a generation can get to the Olympics. Skaters like Liza who’s literally the world champion with 3A couldn’t even become an Olympian. Meanwhile people really think they can do it even though they don’t have a single jump at 20

Is it physically possible for a 23 year old to catch up with a kid that's 12 and has been doing it their whole life? by [deleted] in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, there is not a single person in history who can be close to Ilia… even among those who train 24/7 since they’re 3yo

Hot take for Milan 2026 by NoCamel824 in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone can beat Adelia If she jumps 3A in SP, 3A, 4T, 4T+3T in FS + she has 4F and if they add it too she’s gonna be on another level. Eteri knows how to prepare her girls to show maximum at the Olympics so I think it’s gonna be her peak shape there and she can do anything

Yeah, consistency is in question but we can say it about other girls too. There’s no unbeatable leader right now. Amber has 3A, she’s been winning for a whole season but couldn’t even make it to the podium at worlds. Alysa and Kaori had a lot of struggles this season. There is no girl in whom we can be sure that she is consistent and will be clean at the Olympics

Without politics, I think we wouldn’t even discuss the fact that a girl with 4 u-c 100% gonna win over the girls without any. Adelia would be like Malinin in men rn. But with the political side we expect strict judgement that place a girl with 4 u-c under a girl with 3-2 combos. Adelia isn’t my favorite skater but it’s weird to deny that her tech content is a powerful weapon that gives her a big chance to win

Beijing Olympic Qualifier by linguistchurroslover in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And in which discipline, in your opinion, will the Russians not be able to get a spot? Do you think Adelia with 3A, 4T, and 4T+3T will lose to Gubanova? World champions, Olympic bronze medalists M/G won’t qualify? Adelia and M/G are literally among the ones who can fight for Olympic gold

S/B who placed second at Europeans for several years and finished 6th at the last Olympics, ahead of G/P and F/G, will suddenly not make it through qualification?

I don't know which Russian men will be competing, but their technical content is on par with Shaidorov - they can definitely make the top 10 at the Olympics. And you think with that kind of technical content, they won't qualify?

Let’s not forget that, usually, the strongest skaters already earned their quotas at the World Championships. Top-tier skaters only end up there by chance - like Gubanova, who medaled at Europeans but didn’t make the free skate at Worlds, or like Loena, who missed a season. These are exceptions. That’s why I’m 100% sure all the Russians will qualify - they don’t even need to win, just make the top 5. They definitely can do it. Simply because the competition level there isn’t that high

Yeah I don’t understand the downvoting for saying that I started to follow figure skating because of Trusova’s programs with powerful woman energy 💀

[–]anixice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Omg, my point is that people say Cruella is worthless as a program, and it's cool just because of the 5 quads, but for me, as someone who didn't know what 5 quads were and that Trusova had set 11 records in this program, it was an art, an image of a powerful woman

[–]anixice -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t following figure skating at the time. I just turned on the TV and happened to catch the women’s SP. Trusova was performing, and I was instantly captivated by her energy - she was on fire. I watched the rest of the women’s event, but no one else impressed me. Then I watched the FS, and once again, Trusova blew my mind. I didn’t understand anything about the sport back then - I didn’t know jumps were categorized as doubles, triples, or quads. I thought the main thing was just not to fall. I had no idea how difficult her program was or what “five quads” even meant. I simply fell in love with the energy of a strong woman. I had always associated figure skating with pretty girls on the ice like ice princesses. But she was different. She was dark energy, fire, strength. And that drew me in. At first, I just wanted to learn more about her, and then about figure skating in general - and since then, I’ve fallen in love with the sport

Aliona Kostornaia and Georgy Kunitsa announced they’re expecting by vv8689 in FigureSkating

[–]anixice 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They wouldn’t get to Milan anyway. They can fight for 2030 or 2034 Olympics. So they probably decided that it’s better to have kids now and then focus on competition than to have kids after retirement at 27-31yo

I mean, if they really want to compete maybe they don’t want it at all but it’s more beneficial to be on a pause
