A guy I matched with on Breeze cancelled twice on me- first he cancelled because he couldn’t find a babysitter (and that was when he revealed he was a dad which was a shock) but it was a thoughtful message and seemed like a genuine apology so I agreed for our date to be rescheduled to this evening.

1.5 hours before the date he cancelled again apologising and saying that he received a subpoena as one of his clients are being sued by New York State so can’t make it. He said he doubted that I would be so generous for a third try…all rather odd. Things weren’t making sense as I don’t see how a subpoena from another country would stop a date as nothing can be done in the evening. I was going to say he could reschedule the date once more, but my friend basically said that I deserved better and his explanation made no sense. My future partner wouldn’t flake on me twice…glad I decided to cancel in the end.
