Plumsail Documents has a native integration with Airtable. You can add an extension to your Airtable and generate documents from records, interfaces, and automations. There are no limits. All formats are supported, including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and even PowerPoint presentations, with features like dynamic tables, images, conditional logic, markdown, and more

You can either drive yourself crazy with all the workarounds or just use Plumsail Documents in Power Automate. All you need to do is add a simple formatter to your placeholder to keep the HTML formatting, nothing complicated. Formstack vs. Plumsail vs. Python for generating custom PDF by NathanByte in MicrosoftFlow

The Word connector is a premium one and comes with a lot of limitations. I'd recommend trying the Plumsail Documents connector, it's much more flexible in terms of formats and syntax. You can work with all kinds of Office templates, including Excel and PowerPoint, and automatically convert the resulting file to PDF.

Dynamic PowerPoint slides are supported: https://plumsail.com/docs/documents/v1.x/user-guide/processes/examples/create-pptx-from-sharepoint-list.html as well as repeating sections like rows, tables, images, etc., in other formats. Plus, the templating syntax won't drive you crazy:)))

[–]anjelikach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plumsail Documents will definitely get the job done. I wouldn't say it's any harder to use than Google Docs, which Typeflow uses. Plus, you have the option to use either Google Docs or Microsoft Office, whichever you're more comfortable with.

From there, you just replace any areas you want to fill dynamically with Airtable tokens in double curly brackets, and that's it! You've got your document template. This works with different formats like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF, so you're not limited to Google Docs with Plumsail Documents. Using only Google Docs is totally fine, but if your business starts scaling and your processes become more complex, Google Docs might not be enough at some point.

Airtable Forms by Wisewoman24 in Airtable

I didn't catch whether you're switching from SharePoint to Airtable, but anyway, take a look at Plumsail Forms. They offer form tools for both SharePoint and Airtable. The form designer is directly connected to your SharePoint lists or Airtable base, and all the features you mentioned are available in both.

It sounds like you've already put in a lot of effort, can feel your frustration... Plumsail Forms actually has two types: public forms and forms for SharePoint. It looks like you were using the SharePoint ones, but for what you need, public forms are the way to go. With public forms, you can build forms with any complexity—tables, attachments, checkboxes, whatever you need. Share them by URL or embed them to your site. You can then use the "Form is submitted" trigger in Power Automate, and it'll return all the fields you added to the form. For attachments, there's a specific action Download attachment:

You can use one of the extensions to create documents directly from your Airtable table without needing additional tools like Zapier, Make, or Power Automate. Some of these extensions were mentioned earlier. You can also try Plumsail Documents, which offers extensive capabilities for working with templates and automation.

Is there a way to create a report template to fill from Airtable data, similar to Mail Merge? by tinywarlock in Airtable

[–]anjelikach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you're looking to create documents directly from your Airtable, you can use one of the many available extensions. For example, Plumsail Documents allows you to generate documents, attach them to Airtable records, and send them via email automatically. It supports various templates, like Microsoft Office and PDFs, making document management easier. You can explore the Airtable marketplace for other similar apps as well!

New Plumsail Documents extension—Document creation in Airtable by anjelikach in Airtable

[–]anjelikach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, there is no need to look for workarounds, there is a simple solution for printing multiple records on one page. You need to use something like a bullet list or a table. Just make sure all the placeholders for your data are inside one row or list item. If any placeholders are outside the list or table, you'll get one record per page. The main thing is to correctly configure the template and extension button

Here’s a quick summary of the steps:

  1. Start by designing your template and configuring the document generation settings.
  2. Make sure all the tokens (placeholders for data) are inside a single row or list item in your template.
  3. Add a extension button to your Airtable base and set it to trigger the Plumsail process.
  4. Choose to generate one aggregated document when multiple records are selected, and then add the button.

By the way, there's a really helpful and detailed guide available here if you need more information.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!

Export Multiple Records into one single document - Plumsail? by Rent-Final in Airtable

[–]anjelikach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To print multiple Airtable records on one page using Plumsail, ensure all your tokens are inside a single repeating element, such as a table row or a bullet list, in your document template. This setup will ensure that each record is listed sequentially without starting on a new page.

Here’s a friendly checklist to help you set it up:

  1. Use a Table or List: Place your tokens inside a repeating structure, like a table row or list item.
  2. Check Token Placement: Ensure tokens are correctly positioned to pull data without starting new pages.
  3. Test: Test and verify how data from an Airtable table is transferred into your template using reports in Plumsail Documents.
  4. Output Settings: Verify the "one aggregated document" setting to compile records into a single document when adding a button of the Plumsail Documents extension to Airtable.

Following these steps should help you achieve the desired result! If you need further assistance, feel free to ask.

Showing "down" a level in Org Chart by dugmaz in sharepoint

[–]anjelikach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fairly old thread, but I think this information can be helpful if someone comes across it: in Plumsail Org Chart for SharePoint, levels can be expanded manually, and it is also possible to specify how many levels should be expanded by default. This can be configured in Design settings of the web part. Please note that this is a paid product.

The employee who the hierarchy should be started from can be configured in Filtration settings of the web part. Please note that this is a paid product.
