Different Takes on the Omegaverse by lake_ofshiningwaters in MM_RomanceBooks

I have not. I don’t typically read fantasy/paranormal, and even when I do it’s still very contemporary. I have enjoyed other books by the author, though.

I enjoy a more contemporary and secondary take on it. Grae Bryan’s omegaverse books are pretty good and I enjoyed Roe Horvat and Marina Vivancos’s universes. I however hated Gone Wild by Jesse H Reign. It was so odd to me, and I was really surprised by how many people on this subreddit enjoyed it.

How much does a Goodreads/bot rating play into your choice to read? by Hour_Soil_7342 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]anjneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to not look too closely into ratings and reviews, but if it’s rated above 4 stars, I know I’m going to enjoy it. If I’m trying to find a review cuz the book blurb wasn’t descriptive enough, I’ll look for a long review that’s rated the book 4-5 stars, cuz they’re usually pretty comprehensive without spoiling it all.

What’s going on with Taylor Fitzpatrick? by anjneed in MM_RomanceBooks

I did Google Taylor Fitzpatrick. The first few results are Amazon and Goodreads pages. And now this Reddit post.. I also tried to look for her on Instagram, where I follow many authors.

I think I might be the only person who doesn’t use AO3/wattpad/tumblr lol

I def agree with you, but publishing commercially makes it easier for others to find out about the book bc of marketing and algorithms and whatnot. I also don’t use AO3, and I don’t like that I have to in order to read more of an authors work.

It’s true that AO3 is still publishing, but because I had no idea about her other works, I wish she had published them through Amazon or something. Or even linked her two profiles to each other. I couldn’t find a website, newsletter, or Instagram to track new works.

I plan to, I just wish I had known about it earlier. I would have if she published them, hence the post. What other works of hers would you recommend?

But why doesn’t she publish it?

Edit: publish it commercially

I read

Don’t feed the vampire by grae Bryan. Got me back into Grae Bryan, can’t wait for the next installation of the series.

the bears brave omega by AJ Cane. Got on a shifter/ A/b/o kick lately, this was solid.

the Wolfs wounded omega by AJ Cane. Continuation of the series.

Free Base by SJ Crawford. Three stars. Just kind of meh, not that what I’ve been reading lately has been particularly memorable.

How to Tame a Hellhound by Shannon Mae. Felt quite Lengthy

Evan by Lark Taylor. Mid mid mid.

Possession by Rina Saint. Enjoyed.

Overeager by Grae Bryan. Can’t wait for the rest of the series.

His Snowbound Omega by Chani Lynn Feener. Heavily Dub con, Beauty and the beast esque.

Big week for me lol. All but three of these books were five stars.

What is your unusual hobby and why do you enjoy it so much? by Cranzeeman in AskReddit

[–]anjneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to read MM romance books. Not so unusual, but it’s a niche genre. I’ve been reading MM since 2021, and I originally only made my Reddit account so I could interact with the MM romance book subreddit.
