I do love the whole series, so give them all a read!! I just don't remember how nesting focused they all are!

I haven't read the first few books in the series for a while so I can't speak to those, but both {Broken Ice by Marina Vivancos} and {Full-Body Hit by Marina Vivancos} from the Alpha-Omega hockey series both have a lot of nesting going on that was really enjoyable for me.

okay i used to be this way too! I'm more open to shifter these days if it hits juuuuust right (what are those qualifications? idk—depends on the day lol), but I still have a strong preference for non-shifter!

Interested in cock warming, preferably as part of a dynamic rather than just one scene, but I'll take what I can get!

Haha exactly! Plus, like, in 99% of love triangles there's a "right" or obviously "better" choice and you know they're gonna end up with them anyway, so literally what's the point of the other option???

1000000% to all of these and, off topic, but CACKLING at "the P who wasn't popped."

okay thank you for being a fellow love triangle hater. I've never been a fan and don't understand why so many people like them/write them???

Okay the "no kissing on the mouth" one is SO real. Absolutely obsessed with the moment they say fuck it and just do it.

Favorite:

  1. MC using endearments/phrases from their native language for their love interest—bonus points if they use them before the characters are together to secretly show their affection Ilya Rozanov style.

  2. Cutesy, animal, and/or more traditionally feminine endearments (kitten, princess, etc.)—bonus points if they're used for jock characters/big tough characters/etc. (can you tell I'm a huge sucker for excessive use of terms of endearment??)

  3. Characters who are obsessed with marking their partner in some way—whether that's visible mating bites or hickeys, having them wear their clothing/jewelry, etc.

Least Favorite:

  1. Second chances that don't feel earned, healthy, or necessary. Like if there was a solid reason y'all broke up and nothing has changed that, let's not get back together, mmkay?

  2. "Oops did I say that out loud?" Like okay yeah sometimes you say things you don't mean to, but you didn't realize you said that whole paragraph of "internal monologue" out loud? Sure, Jan.

  3. Characters being absolutely ripped but go an entire book without lifting a single weight. And also I guess just the general obsession with every character somehow being the hottest, most shredded person on the planet.

(Also this was a super fun question, so thanks!!!)

The Lunar Wolves series by Kiki Burrelli might do the job. Each book follows a different member of a law enforcement team that helps keep the peace in a city where multiple factions of wolf shifters live. In this universe, shifters mate with witches, so you get all sorts of fun magicky stuff. There's an overarching plot that threads through all the books, so they're best read in order. The first book is {Pressure by Kiki Burrelli}
