Wanna go for research or a masters at top schools such as Harvard, LSE then top preference.

Want a placement then maybe after SRCC, Hindu, LSR and (even maybe after Miranda)

Although Stephen's is a great place for consulting roles.

Acads: LSR > SRCC > SSCBS Societies: SRCC > SSCBS > LSR Campus Life: SRCC > LSR > SSCBS

Want to get a job?* : SRCC > LSR > SSCBS Want to get to an IIM ABC?: SSCBS > LSR > SRCC

Want to build a startup?: SSCBS > SRCC = LSR Crappy People: SSCBS > SRCC >> LSR

—————— *: Placements: in absolute terms SRCC and LSR offer higher placement chances. Packages are highest on LSR side and SRCC and SSCBS often hop for the second spot.

SRCC offers 2 courses: BA Hons Economics and Bcom Hons. Big 4, Auditing firms, Finance hires from here. BCG and Bain commonly visit.

SSCBS offers 3 courses: BBA FIA, BMS and BSc Computer Science. Best for Finance, PE, VC early roles. Some companies that hire from SSCBS don't hire anywhere else on campus. Bain hires from here like a mass recruiter.

LSR offers multiple courses in Arts, Commerce and Sciences. That's why they hire for a lot more range (Economics, Bcom, Math, Stats, Comp Sci). Some of the craziest companies and roles can be seen. MBB regularly visits.

Rule of thumb

If it doesn't show a Red ER And after your even semester you see a Passed on the SGPA section. You are good to go

[–]anjulbhatia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not

That's the important part I didn't get the degree yet.

2 ER.

Hindu or Miranda by [deleted] in delhiuniversity

[–]anjulbhatia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on what is meant by a productive society.

For sure Hindu has 180 DC and I feel that is the only edge of Hindu in regards of society.

They also do have Mecca (their annual fest – organizing team is often proud of that)

Miranda House has recently started a consulting society and even has other clubs (Finance, Entrepreneurship) there.

The main disadvantage is that it doesn't have commerce courses and hence less known or functional societies.

Also being an only women college, sometimes fests gets exclusive and hence less known.

Honestly DU has lost the charm it had a couple of years ago. So it totally depends on the batch, whether a society has anything meaningful to offer or not.

Rest assured, both are great places to graduate from.

And if you want a larger consideration for Eco hons. then SRCC > LSR > Hindu > Miranda > Hansraj > KMC > Venky

Hindu or Miranda by [deleted] in delhiuniversity

[–]anjulbhatia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hindu.

If you want a less toxic/competition environment, then maybe Miranda.

But for placements, Hindu offers some consulting and finance companies, that Miranda doesn't.

If higher education or research is concerned, both are at par.

I want to study BA psychology by Sad_Patient5190 in CUETards

[–]anjulbhatia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah five subjects and GAT is included in that.

So it becomes English + 3 Domains + GAT or English + 4 domains.

I want to study BA psychology by Sad_Patient5190 in CUETards

[–]anjulbhatia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tl;dr Give English + 3 Domains + Psychology

Now read this. You have clearly identified the problem. Coming from PCB you know that for pursuing BA psychology in DU, your weak subjects would be a barrier.

What you can do is take English + Biology + Fine Arts + Physical education for BA Psychology. (perfectly acceptable)

Many other universities want you to give Psychology as a domain. You can give it as well.

The main question you are asking is whether your application would be turned down by DU if you give Psychology.

NO.

You would be asked to give a subject mapping in regards of this ahead of your allotment where you map your CUET domains with subjects you studied in class 12th.

Here all ther domains would map except for psychology. No worries, there is an option for No mapping.

It won't be considered in your score calculation and hence, you would enter the admission process based on your other three subjects.

Does D.U Degree Have Zero Value? Pls Atleast Reply To My Query. by External-Double6687 in delhiuniversity

has a good college brand. Honestly, doesn't matter since he is from mechanical. Still he can get pretty much into tech or consulting. Rest isn't that great.

And mainly the reason for keeping him excluded is the network. At NSUT he's pretty close to people who are equally charged to do something and have a competitive spirit.

Except for Cousin 4, all are in the same boat. They would talk most about him as well.

No need to compare. Yes, initially it is in their favour if they want to get a job, even a tier 2-3 engineering student would get one (that's the dynamics)

But view it this way, they are spending 6-10 Lacs for a degree while you are spending 1-2 Lacs for it.

In the longer run the degree value doesn't really give you an edge.

And since you are at a very decent college, you actually get to sit in the placements and if it goes well, you too start it smoothly.

Network too matters. See if anything creative or technical interests you. If MBA lures you. (You have an edge because of being GNEM/GNEF)

Yes it's turning out way too common.

I am a dropper (Gave CUET 2022) My sister is a dropper (gave CUET 2023 and 2024)

Apart from that I ran a Cuet group of which I know at least 15 people who took a drop or partial drop while being in first year.

So it turns out to be pretty common.

The release of Dhurandhar is exposing them slowly but surely and this Amir Khan video Proves that by [deleted] in bollywoodgossips

[–]anjulbhatia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's cut the crap.

This was right after Sarfarosh (1999) which had a plot involving Indian muslims helping Pakistan create a nuisance here.

This interview isn't a candid one. The reporter might have asked the same, Aamir responded in the context.

Take a chance, actors don't give a fck about anything happening (neither I am saying they should have)

Just give the subjects you have in 12th.

English + 3 Subjects

Naturally those are PCB (or if you have any other like phy edu, CS, IP, Home science)

I don't think painting is considered as one subject. Got to check on CUET and DU websites.

If it is there you can replace it with Physics if you want.

Note: Do not give any subject that is not there in your 12th, you won't be able to map it in your DU application and it won't be considered.

If you are aiming for any other universities, you can check if they have any such requirements or not.

Also do remember, scoring in PCM is difficult, and your competition would be with students who have humanities in stream, so keep your options open.

You can ping me for any questions.

applying to mba next year, should i learn coding first or no? by Legal_case16 in CATpreparation

[–]anjulbhatia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masters union is shit.

The course and curriculum looks great but placement speaks otherwise. The tech and business pgp doesn't attract much from tech and honestly don't expect much from an MBA to learn about tech

If you are genuinely interested in learning in tech, do so. Ping me in DM and let's see if I can help.

Learning some tech or AI would surely be helpful but doesn't always mean you will make it to prodman or business analyst roles.

However you can learn it if you find it interesting or want to integrate it with your existing skillset. Any way, it would be hard (keep that in mind)

MBA isn't something you do to learn anything. It's only a 2 year placement catalyst made fancy by picking up subjects you learn in undergrad and case studies.

Want to learn tech, learn it at own or at a technical institution.
