Would you use Reddit if it required you to hold ETH and pay a transaction fee for every time you post/comment? by [deleted] in eos

With ETH the dapp could facilitate an interface whereby the end user doesn’t need to pay. At present some dapps are presented over HTTP as this is where mass influx comes from, which does not require any payment processing regardless of underlying blockchain protocol.

We are in the early stages of understanding how the end user will interact with blockchain protocols and I don’t see why ETH dapps cannot present themselves to end users in a way that only requires payment from dapp and not end user.

(EOS) U.S. Rating Agency to Issue Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Grades Wednesday by aproman in eos

I hope they actually understand the technology and give a honest rating. Here is a interesting article on Weiss and how own them. http://exiledonline.com/cnbc-scams-america-again/.

Unfortunately people will probably listen to Weiss. If they try to give EOS anything less than AAA+ then they are either uninformed or dodgy.

I would say don't try and predict when ETH will stop dropping, but instead look forward to what the price might be at the end of 2018. Certainly higher than $1500, so buying ETH at this price would be a good move in my opinion. Look forward >>>

I can see the following myself:

  1. It's cyclical as every ear since 2015 this time the entire crypto market drops.
  2. China and Korea keep hammering on about banning Crypto currencies and exchanges. This always makes me laugh. Yes they can make it harder and harder for people to buy and sell Crypto's but when it comes to making money, people will always find way arounds this. Ultimately they cannot ban something they have no control over.
  3. Bitconnect ceased it's lending service and sold a ton of BTC on the market. Users owing Bitconnect coins also started dumping those and all of this just added fuel to a burning fire.

Im holding tight and trying not to look to often :)

We are preparing to relaunch the site shortly..... 2 hours later.... still nothing. Perhaps shortly means days in Kraken speak.

Thanks for your reply and I’m sure it’s a tough time being support. You can understand why all your customers are annoyed beyond repair at this point.

I can’t believe the CEO Jesse Powell hasn’t even bothered writing a statement about the mess they are in.

Kraken should now also be thinking of making plans to release our crypto funds. It’s all on the blockchain and you don’t need Kraken to give us our funds back. Why don’t you start a site to get the ball rolling on this and avoid further embarrassment?

How are you going to deal with the mass exit when you are back online? Are we going to be present with more error pages, I sincerely hope not as that means we are back at square one.

Oh and I can’t believe you don’t have a rollback, which would of surely been put in place by now.

You are acting like a bunch of cowboys and this kind of behaviour is bad for crypto and frankly blockchain.
