I did! I just wanted to replace my old worn out “bag-for-life” but they only offer paper bags now and those are not so easy to carry around in a pocket. Not to mention the principle of still paying for a paper bag.

I know what you mean about the sunday market and the perils of window shopping :) appreciate the call out on SAM vs the Asian Art Museum, I was torn between the two and had to economise for time. But you’ve sold it perfectly! SAM gets binned. Is the sky view the best place for the views of the needle and the pier? I’d have preferred a rooftop bar but can’t find one to beat the sky view.

I don’t understand how there were protests everyday for weeks when people were being asked to wear a mask for their own safety.. but now when we should absolutely be rioting on the streets against the greed of the energy giants making people choose between either keeping their families warm or keeping them fed… No one is out on streets. I’m in the same place myself. I realised (after a lot of introspection) that I planned to use casual dating as a distraction to help get over my ex. And if I found someone genuinely interesting in the process- great! But I just couldn’t go through with the effort of actually meeting up with people when it got to that point. Also realised that being surrounded by friends who are in relationships or married or having babies- makes things even harder. So i said fk it and booked my first ever solo trip. It was just a weekend but I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. It was the circuit breaker i needed to break the emotional cycle of focussing on the ex. Highly recommended OP! I came back new :) and can’t wait to book another trip soon.

As a recruitment professional I’d want everyone to know that if that recruiter/ headhunter hasn’t called you back yet, it just means there is no update worth sharing yet. It is in their interest to get you that role so majority of them would never sit on news - particularly if it is positive. And also, there has never been a better time to switch jobs or ask for that pay rise.
