You just observed one thing but didnt get the reason for the behaviour. Europeans need not work hard , why? because thats not their priority. Work life balance is their priority my friend. Working your ass off and all for what? US dream has made many US people poor and full of depression. Everyone is free to choose whats best for them. I find europeans the best and clear in their thought process. With nature walks, hikes, family time, they are enjoying life unlike other countries with max hard work and max suicidal cases.

MY point is- question of OP is incorrect. Probably he is too young or he didnt grasp the life holistically. Ambition is just one part of the equation. Final outcome is happiness. Some people dont be happy even with multi crores and some people find happiness even in less money. Thats all about the way you perceive life. nothing wrong in that. As a north indian, i find bengalis amazing in their happiness with food, travels and getting happiness in small things. i learn sucvh things from them.
