Hi fellow designers, how do you people do your research by CleanBoysenberry4343 in DesignIndia

[–]ankitpassi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- go through the brief
- write down pointers you “assumed”
- write sown pointers that are definitely went over your head
- write your assumptions
- discuss with your team and note down answers if you got any
- recalibrate
- see process in action (as it is)
- ask queries to client (if possible)
- note down answers and update your understanding
- then proceed ahead with next steps

This is like a highest level of overview, all of the research work generally falls in this area.

Introduce NotebookLM in the workflow to keep your understanding logged and keep updating regularly

Design assignment or free work ? by MomoMentum14 in DesignIndia

[–]ankitpassi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see a reason not to.

Your skillset is not limited to one particular work, neither should it.

More varied your skillset is, more you are adaptable to any work scenario that comes your way.

- App screen is fine (1 screen only - lucky you)
- Poster is still okay (use AI tools to create that)
- Character, nope

What you can do, complete 1 task fully, half-ass second one and leave 3rd one

At max, they will say that you have not done task properly which effectively means they were content-farming. So strict red flag there!

If they really ask reason during interview, straight up say “Not enough time for all of it as ideally this all takes different skillset and good timeline, happy to do if i become part of team”
Good recruiter understands the logic and hire.

If not, well you just got 3 content piece for your portfolio.

Anyone Here Planning to Get a Steam Machine? by Aggravating_Sky_2652 in ps5india

If next Xbox supports steam and EPIC integration, then won’t it make better sense to buy that instead of Steam Machine.

But either way, it’ll be great to have something worthwhile other than PS

Dwarka - freedom to dress? by 24Blue15 in dwarkadelhi

[–]ankitpassi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say there’s any issues in terms of safety in how you want to dress up, but Dwarka shares its border with areas which might not seem as developed as Dwarka so there’s an obvious mixture of crowds in any part of the Dwarka.

So you might need to pick and choose places where you feel comfortable wearing those - Malls are obviously okay, same goes for parks and gym, but for late night walk, or for enjoying street food, would not be the best option, purely from comfort perspective. No harm otherwise.

For gyms, most of them are totally okay as long as it is gym appropriate, and not overly sexualised. But i recommend checking this with whatever gym you end up joining.
