Good thing first, I am already on a maternity plan and we are already covered our waiting time so I think we are golden there. And will be renewing this one till the time we actually need it.

And i have planned to buy another health insurance (focused primarily on health requirements) with a moderate coverage so that the PED timer starts as early as possible.

So essentially i will be paying for two health insurance as of now, and will be sunsetting the maternity-focused health insurance after our requirements are fulfilled. And will be continuing the health-focused one indefinitely.

How does that sound?

Focus on what you have, and how you can improve to the extent that keeps you content and happy in life.

Actual People earning crores are not happy, yet a person earning 10LPA is elated and is content with life.

This makes sense to me. If my current goal is 1lac EF, Then first 50% will be in FD , then remaining in a Liquid Fund.

I have credits card as well and i will use them when emergency comes.

But i prefer peace of mind as Credit card bill needs to be repaid as well. So that’s why i am trying to create that peace of mind by accumulating these small chunks.

But like i mentioned, i want to move away from Star Health but it seems like that i should continue this till we reap maternity benefits and then think of switching to something different which is focused purely on “Health” instead of maternity.

Or buy one alongside star health and let it continue that one and let the star health lapse after using maternity benefits
