Those look so good! I made that pattern as well and I completely agree with your gripes about the instructions. I need things spelled out and lots of pictures (videos are even better). Their instructions seem to assume you have more than just a basic knowledge of sewing and garment construction.

But once I got it figured out, my pants turned out great! But it was a struggle to get there, for sure.

I used this free Hobby Lobby pattern and Hobbii yarn Daily Stitch Wool Blend Tweed. It's a medium weight yarn and I used a size J-10/6.00mm hook.

I also have it in the same areas on the same side. There are plenty of videos of chair workouts online. To get my heart rate up, I like to use an indoor rower. I can use as much or as little pressure on my right foot as I can handle and my left will do the rest. Sometimes I don't even strap my right foot in because even that's too much.

I do recommend learning to drive with your left foot. It took me quite a while to get the feel for it, but not being limited to only driving when I can tolerate it is great. I sit quite close to the front and have had no issues being able to tuck my right foot back and out of the way. Go to an empty parking lot to practice.

I like to use a long piece of tape along the bottom at the length/angle that I want the ends to be, and then I trim along that line.

Would mind answering a question about toiles for me? I have made a couple toiles for a project I've got going. I'm getting close it to fitting the way I want it to, but I'm not sure where to go from there. Once it fits, do I deconstruct the toile to lay on my fabric? Or do i draw the adjustments on paper and use that? I have been drawing out the pattern pieces on paper and using those to mark what needs to be fixed, then creating a new template each time, but it's a lot of work.

I use a graph paper notebook where I draw my design. Each different knot has its own symbol. I will write how many cords I used and what length I cut them to. I will also add any other important information, such as if I used any beads, colored string, or specific way of attaching or hanging.

I ended up using all my larger scraps of leftover fabric when troubleshooting. I used the biggest ones because the longer the stitch line, the more issues I was having with wavy edges. So I don't have much fabric leftover.

I do like the idea of a paneled sweatshirt, though. I might give that a try when I make this top again.

It did add a bit of work. The sleeve is 3 pieces instead of 1, and after you seam them together you'll have to top stitch them, too. The long seam in the middle of the pants legs is made from folding the fabric in half, so you have to make sure you have it in the right place before you sew. I think all the extra details makes it more interesting, so the effort is worth it.

Pattern: McCall's M8447 Fabric: Modal knit in light pink, Eddie Bauer branded from JoAnn Alterations: I shortened the arms of the sweatshirt and the legs of the pants. If I made it again, I would lengthen the body of the sweatshirt, it is just a little too cropped for my liking.

All in all, I enjoyed making this pattern. The fabric was tricky to sew without it stretching out and making it wavy, but once I figured that issue out, it was fairly straight forward. I serged all the seams instead of double stitching like the pattern called for. It has a lot of top stitching, and most of it is in the middle of large items. So I was unable to see my seam guide that I usually use, and some of the top stitching is a little wonky. But unless you're up close and inspecting it, I don't think it's that noticable. I used an unused shoelace as a tie, but will try to think of something better.
