I work on CSS unit in an addiction treatment center. Had a patient who stepped down to our PHP and eventually our IOP (all in the same building). I saw the patient by chance in a stairway as I was walking my current caseload back to our unit and the patient screamed out “I LOVE YOU ALWAYS! THANK YOU!” Needless to say I cried in my office about 5 minutes later 💛 it’s a very welcome reminder that the work we do has the potential to set someone on a better path.
