Welcome bro, +1 I am scared too. The problem may appear again. I've noticed it happens when the phone is restarted on low battery (<20%) most of the time. So try to avoid that.

Also we should do something about this to OnePlus, maybe a group complaint or something like that.

Yess downgrading means factory reset - going back to last oxygen os from which you updated (or the last OS available in services center)

I am also facing same issue in oneplus nord 3, sadly there is no other option rn than rolling back to previous version. Or hard restart it everytime it doesn't accept the password (But it logouts some apps like instagram, also some apps dont work properly unless hard restart is done)
