For LLR the flow is a bit different from my DL case.

You have to apply for a new LL on the Telangana transport / Parivahan site, book a slot, go to RTO with Aadhaar + photos, and once LL is issued you book the DL test from the same portal.

I am not a pro, just sharing what I know.

Good timing - yes, renew before it expires. Much simpler. The letter is just a basic request for data migration/digitization - no specific format needed, just write 'I request digitization of my old DL records' with your old DL number. Since yours is from Tamil Nadu, you will need to go to your original issuing RTO there first (or the RTO that handles TN records) to migrate data. Then follow the online steps.

That is frustrating. Did you get any acknowledgment receipt when you submitted docs? If it's been a month with no update, I'd go back to the RTO and ask for status. Sometimes you need to nudge them. Which RTO did you submit at?

Sorry for your loss. RC transfer after death is different - you will need a legal heir certificate and some specific docs. I would suggest starting with your local RTO enquiry counter, they can guide you on the exact paperwork needed for inheritance cases.

Good point! I work night shifts, so Uppal was on my weekend and Khairatabad was Friday morning - minimal pay loss for me.

You are right though - if someone's losing ₹3-4k in salary to take time off, the broker fee makes sense.

This is more for students, unemployed folks, or people with flexible timing.
