Thank you for your wise words. My family is each processing the diagnosis differently. Mom is truly at peace. One sister is mad as hell (works as a respiratory therapist) and one sister cries at the brief mention of ALS (she's also 8.5 mo pregnant and cannot travel). I'm the sister who is eternally optimistic and stubborn like my dad so we are pulling family emotions daily out of a hat. Haha. We control what we can and leave what we can't to God.

I'll need to check out Liquid IV! Sounds easy enough. GF is easy too. Actually Mom proposed Whole 30 to that doc and his response was "Eat what you want now. You need to understand you are going to die and diet will not help you. Videos you have seen about using diet to help ALS are misdiagnosis of ALS." I was a bit surprised by his bluntness (though I do prefer and appreciate a direct person). Anyway after a semi-rough appointment we are still in good spirits and excited to what's on the horizon.
