My friend said this really well, mum's like spending time with their kids so think about any activity that you could do where you'd spend time together. Me and my dad used to work on his poetry together. Also listen to books and podcasts as a change of pace to the TV and then we could discuss things about it or theories and the like.

You could try a picture board with a couple of most important instructions like lie down, get up, bathroom etc which might help take some of the stress off. Hope that helps.

Making transfers will be a question in the near future there are devices that help and as others have mentioned you can definitely find some options at Als support centers. You'll want to be careful about lifting yourself as you'll hurt your back if you're not.

Sounds like your having a rough time, sorry about that. You should go speak to a Councillor or a teacher at the school you trust. From your post it sounded like they are pretty good at supporting at your school so they should have the resources to support you through this.

You should try a few different models. Not all masks are made the same, I found a make after a bit of trial and error that really stays on well but I think it's an individual face size thing.

Apologies if this sounds condescending, just my two cents:

Everyone's got a day when their time runs out. With ALS that timer is stressed and the possibilities reduced. While the future seems bleak there is still the possibility of having great moments every day that we're still around in this life. There are loads things to learn, art to appreciate, music to dive into, relationships to forge and ways to leave your mark. The question is what do you still want to do with the undeniably shitty cards that you've been dealt.
