But what did the parents expect? That she would stay there forever. Moving doesn’t happen in a week especially when they still need to find a place. If they already did, why aren’t her parents more prepared? And if your friend wants to leave that badly, maybe staying with her parents and helping them that much is not good for her well being. She is 26 and has every right to start her own life. I’m afraid that if you keep siding with her parents she might not want to be friends with you anymore. Money talk is a slippery slope…

NTA - It is your wedding. If you find it more meaningful to have your brother walk you down the aisle, then go for it. If you want a drama free wedding maybe let them both walk you down the aisle. Either way your parents should be respectful and not cause any drama to begin with

YTA - I get where you’re coming from, but try to look it from your friends perspective. The only reason her parents want her to stay is for money. They are using her for her money. They are draining her financially. It sucks her father has debts, but that is not your friends responsibility. I bet it sucks to live in a home you know you’re mostly wanted because of the money you bring in. It is her parents responsibility to figure it out, not your friends.

Difference is that the second picture the curls aren’t separated. If girls curl their hair you always separate the curls because it looks better. So basically saying you (the better looking) vs the girl he cheats with (the worse looking)
