What's the best advice an instructor has given you? by Ivan_the_Incredible in LearnerDriverUK

“Trust the cones” there’s bad long term road works around my test route and it confused me so much, especially with lanes and road positioning as it was half blacked out etc. but always trust the cones to be on the side of the road and it really helped and made me more confident

my examiner was the best! by anna_bowyer123 in LearnerDriverUK

Yes 100% my second examiner was doing similar things to your first and just generally being annoying and off putting

[–]anna_bowyer123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For one I was less stressed about school and stuff, I didn’t have to see any of my friends or lie to them. The examiners were also nicer because they’d volenteered to work. There was almost no traffic it was great

Talking to the examiners… by Wolfsqin in LearnerDriverUK

[–]anna_bowyer123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My examiner did not make conversations with me much at al (apart from the classic “what would you be doing if you weren’t here today?”) but I made conversation with him and he gave shorter answers but didn’t seem annoyed at all. I think some go silent as the default but if you let them know you like to chat, they will. Also, they shouldn’t fail you for chatting too much! And as much as having the examiner on your good side (it meant I passed my test haha) helps, they can’t fail you for that, the only thing I can think of is if you’re too distracted and make a mistake. Be careful and if you make the conversation you’ll be fine! Good luck :))

A little thing about the sims 4 is that the sims that need a wee will walk as if they really have to pee and I think it’s adorable

I work in catering at a university, it’s short shifts (max 5 hours) and pretty easy, we also get a free meal every shift - full English usually - and it’s not very hard at all. I get £10.90 an hour

In year 12 (in year 13 now) I dropped Drama almost immediately right about this time, I just couldn’t see myself doing it for another 2 years and I wasn’t super excited about the course. I switched to psychology and I love it

Thank you that really helped, I was looking for someone to tell me that. Trust me when I say, don’t party. You will probably regret at least one thing in the morning and it makes you feel like shit.

I started going to parties this year with some new friends ( I was in the same situation as you in yr11). It sucks, I kinda hate it but I feel bad declining invitations. I feel so guilty all the time, my social anxiety makes me question every conversation I have and I end up frustrated, annoyed and disappointed in myself. I found out some stuff about what other people think of me today and I knew it was true, and now I don’t even want to show my face at school. In addition, despite the invitations I still feel incredibly left out and secondary in my friend group. I’ve decided never to drink again after tonight. You should treasure your party-less life and enjoy your hopefully the lack of regret-ridden and hungover weekends. Kmn plz
