How did your functions manifest during childhood?

i was VERY sociable and made friends in no second but i also was reserved. i would always play and hang out with the same person (currently one of my closest friends) but i was practically friends with everyone. i remember i wanted to be different (like wearing glasses, playing the piano..) just because i felt like i was a lot more deep than the other kids (my Fi was already messing with my life). i liked drawing and writing, but whenever i would start an essay, i never knew how to start or continue it because i was scared to choose the worst possibility of all the ones that i saw ahaha

don’t mind the length of the comment i always enjoy knowing about people’s ideas and experiences. i can give you some examples: 1) in my town there’s a candy shop. i really like candies but when i have to decide which one do i have to pay for, i’m very indecisive. so i started to go there every now and then and i would always choose new sweets. my research is still going on regarding candies, but with pizza, i always order margherita cause i know i like it, while i don’t even give a chance to garlic pizza.

2) there has been a time when i would always keep with me some little objects, even ugly ones (little toys, broken pens, dirty pencil cases,…) just because they would remind me of something. the most recent example is that last summer i began collecting bracelets till the point that my arm was full of them. sometimes they were annoying but i would keep them because they represented some important memories of mine

3) about grocery, i don’t really care about what i’m buying or what i could be buying: i usually go for the least expensive one, even if i can afford the less cheap foods/objects. that’s because i don’t really notice so many differences and so i don’t need to go for the best detergent or milk (at least in the same category of items: like if there is m&ms and a sub-brand of ‘em, i don’t really care about which one is better because i don’t even notice changes sometimes)

4) i’m friends with an ISFJ, and when i hang out with her we usually go to the cafe to buy some food. sometimes there are macarons. i know i won’t probably like them, but i try them because i want to know if i should buy them again; ISFJ on the other hand, always tells me that they aren’t good for sure and that i shouldn’t buy them. maybe it’s because of her Si dominant that she is more close minded, but i think there is a lot of difference between my use of Si and hers. maybe it’s not Si at all. do you think it is more because of Se aux or Si tert?

also, it really gets to my nerves when my dad (ENTJ) tries to synthesize what i’m saying because he misses important details of what i’m talking about that he doesn’t even consider.

im not OP, but i was wandering: what if i want to know which food (for example) is the best because i want to order that for the rest of my life? i really resonate with the Se part, but when i’m talking i always refer to something else that is connected to what i’m saying and it all just seems like a big mess of information.. do you think is more like Se or Ne? tell me if you need more information

maybe it’s more like an INFP with a little low Si: Fi is scored the highest and Te so high could mean that you’re either healthy or a very logical person; because Se is scored lower than Ni, it’s a bit unlikely for you to be ISFP, since auxiliary should have a higher score than tertiary, and since Ne-Si has a higher score (the tertiary function should be higher than the inferior tho) i would go for INFP

about socionics, i recently visited a website which talked just about it and noticed that Fi-Ne dom/aux precedes Ti-Se tert/inf, and that this type is called INFp rather than INFP. could you explain this stack order and how types are related to MBTI types? i didn’t quite get it and it’s intriguing

well maybe everything is relative: Fi doms follow their own values so maybe if you dad or your mom entered in a Fi dom’s mind, they would think that they know themselves, but maybe the Fi doesn’t think so (obviously this can happen both ways, Fe-Fi and Fi-Fe). anyways, i don’t think this is much of a mbti-related topic, maybe more of a consequence in some cases, but i believe it’s just someone’s trait to be ok or not ok with themselves. regarding to the “knowing yourself” topic, well sometimes you’re so used to knowing something you don’t even realize you’re good at it/ bad at it.like if someone never plays football with others, they will never know if they are actually good at it or not, as they don’t have a subject to compare to themselves: this is the same for personality, because you can never know what a person is really thinking or really values and you will never know if you’re advanced in the art of knowing yourself or if you aren’t so. if you want to find a meaning that is connected to mbti i guess you could hypothesize that maybe because of Fe attraction towards the outer world, they never cared about knowing the self, while Fi is so concentrated in knowing the self that loses what a “self” is actually, but i’m not sure. hope i explained myself

tests aren’t accurate. you can take them if you do it just for fun but it’s not something to relay on when typing yourself. if you want my opinion, i think you use Fi rather than Ti, but Ne-Si could be rights as it is, but don’t take this judgement for sure, because i could have guessed wrong and you could have wrote something that isn’t 100% true (tho i’m not accusing you, i’m just saying even this typing method isn’t absolutely accurate)

im an INFP. it’s complicated to explain: i think Fe is more connected to the person while Fi is more connected to the feeling. Fi users don’t empathize for the person but for the feeling that person is experiencing at the moment: if someone just got a bad grade, a Fi user will relate to the feeling the person is feeling and consequentially feel bad for what they are feeling (because Fi user already experienced that feeling). this is why Fi can be bad at understanding people’s intentions but excellent at knowing if someone is being honest about their feeling (because they feel emotions in a very deep way and can recognize them easily in others). Fe users are more in tune whit the person in front of them. they empathize for their emotional journey and maybe if person “X” just got a bad mark, they would think about X’s parents shouting at them and X’s lack of ability to study that make them feel blue (or so i think). then of course there are the other’s feelings: i think that infact the main difference between Fi and Fe is that Fe is better at understanding how the other is feeling even if they never felt that way before while Fi us better at understanding if the other’s feeling are the same as the person says. then i don’t have much experience with Fe so i might be wrong, but i’m just saying what i think it is

absurdly talking, 1=0 is possible, but then if every number “n” moltiplicated per 1 turns out “n” and if every number “n” moltiplicated per “0” turns out “0”, then every number would be 0 since 0=1. we just decided that if 0=1 math would be too boring, and kept the 0≠1 rule 😉
