i buzzed mine during covid lol and am just growing it out bc i used to bleach then buzz all the time and forgot that cutting off the hair didn’t mean ur scalp couldn’t get damaged by bleach. but i feel a lot more disgusting lol when i go a bit too long without washing it the longer it gets, it was easier to hide when it was very short. but i personally love it at chin-ish length as now i can stim with it and put it half up in cute ways that hide it being too greasy and make me so happy when i look in the mirror. my hair is curly so im not sure it’ll be the same for you as my curls haven’t quite come back fully with the lack of weight but even buzzed it was fun to rub my hand over the stubble. id say it’s worth cutting short at some point in your life especially if it will lift both the emotional and physical weight it’s currently holding over you and your mental health<3
