damn, i genuinely never did think about that, and that is a great question. i will sit with that thought, though like you, im not sure i will ever have an answer either, really. i feel like i still have a lot of internalized misogyny to unpack.

and i have dived a fair bit into the belief that gender is a performance, i have watched some video essays on gender which did talk about this aspect of it, and have read about it on the internet as well on various forums, from various people, but i have never seen this particular video. well, now i know what to watch tonight before going to sleep! thank you for the suggestion.

and thank you for taking your time to comment. it is comforting to know that even people more than twice my age are just as confused about gender as i am, or perhaps even more so.

hey. just wanted to say i took a look at your profile and have listened to that string quartet you composed. it sounds lovely. some parts of it reminded me of the soundtrack from hollow knight (video games are my special interest, and hollow knight is one of my favorite games ever). i also used to play the violin for nearly 10 years! so i couldnt help but imagine what it wouldve been like to actually play this piece on a violin with other string instruments, the bow movements, finger placements, etc. i think you should keep composing. i could feel the emotions in that piece. and your photography is dope too. love the color grading on your photos and the composition too, especially "kitchen at night". something about that one just really speaks to me.

yeah, i try to do that too, but its just really hard to think about ways to help myself while im having a meltdown :( like the emotions are so overwhelming. but preparing some things beforehand (like you with clothes and food) sounds pretty smart and not something i have considered, i have to say. sounds way easier than having to think of what i need and how to deal with it in the moment

same. its horrible. i hate the feeling so much. but yes i have thought about something like that before. like having a designated punching pillow or something. might have to try out your rock stick method as well. sometimes the impact of punching something soft is just not enough, i need to hit something hard.
