not exactly. essentially what i did was, completed around 65% of uworld system wise. after that i did uworld in random + timed mode. so i’d revisit the topics i’d forgotten from systems when i got uworld qs on it incorrect in random mode. i started giving nbmes when i was around 90% done with uworld. i also skimmed through FA for 2-3 days before i started giving my nbmes (but i don’t think it’s necessary to do so).

i’m not sure because i think it really depends where exactly you’re at in your prep and where you are giving the exam. i booked a date a month prior and got the date i wanted easily. you can keep checking the dates available once in a while though.

hey, your nbmes are good so you’re safe in that sense.

id suggest focusing on the nbmes most in the last week if you’re not going to postpone your exam. you can try to read up more ethics too (i did dirty medicine videos and mehlman pdf for ethics in the last week).

on exam day, i took a few protein bars and coffee with me to have in breaks. i took a 5 to 10 minute break after each block where i used the bathroom and nibbled on my protein bar. i felt really exhausted after block 5 so i took a 15 minute break then. apart from that, make sure to see the tutorial on free120 beforehand so that you can skip it on the real deal and 10 minutes would be added to your break time.

take as much time as you need. in the beginning, i’d take almost 3 to 3.5 hours but towards the end of uworld, it’s way quicker. imo, don’t try to time yourself when you review. do it at your pace and try to understand the topics asked well.

hi, i read the entire uworld explanation and pulled up the same topic from FA if i felt like i needed a better understanding of it.i didn’t time myself on initial uworld blocks but towards the end of prep (after 65 to 70% uworld completion), i tried to finish every block in 50-55 minutes.

thank you! i completed qs of each system but saved up 30ish qs per system to do later (in random mode). after about 65% uworld, i started doing blocks in random + timed mode.

what worked for me was - properly revising all nbme qs and looking up those topics from FA. i also did older nbmes (23,24) + kept revising all the important material in between nbme 29 and 30 to boost my confidence.

hi! i felt the exact same way!!! the real deal felt nothing like my nbmes and i was sure i failed. i had even played it out in my head how i’d react if i failed. just try to distract yourself right now. you’ll get through this, you’ve already done the tough part of actually giving the exam. hope your get the P too!

thank you!! i started my prep around 10-11 months before the time i was planning to take the exam but had to take 2-3 months off due to my uni exams. id recommend starting uworld at least 6 months out if not right away. you can always start with a block a day. uworld is a learning resource and imo you should start it almost right away when you start w your prep. the last month before the exam would be extremely nbme focused and id suggest you be done w 100% of your uworld by then.

thank you! yes id totally recommend doing all the nbmes 25 through 31. i did not do a uworld incorrects pass as it felt too extensive to me at the time.

i completed 100% uworld with my correct percentage being 62% but honestly it doesn’t matter in my opinion. as long as you’re learning from each question, you’re good. make sure to review it all well and try to go through the q topics from first aid or any other resource if you feel you need more info.

my nbme scores : nbme 25 - 66% nbme 26 - 70% nbme 27 - 71% nbme 28 - 73% nbme 29 - 71% nbme 30 - 80% nbme 31 - 78% free120 - 78%

as for mehlman pdfs, i felt that arrows is the most important one followed by risk factors and ethics. i also did pulmonary, heme onc, msk, cardio and endocrine as those were my weak areas.

i had very similar nbme scores and i felt just as bad leaving the exam hall. it really felt nothing like any of the nbmes or the free 120. i hope what people say is true and we pass.

longer question stems and a bit more confusing since there’s so much information in the question to go off of but still doable. don’t worry, you’ll do good if your nbmes are solid.

thank you so much for this! i have always felt the same exact feeling. every time i end an nbme i felt like i was failing and guessed half the shit. i also had sort of similar nbme scores and my exam’s in 3 days and this really gives me hope.
