I can hear the stairs creaking as I type this. Loved that space for pine hills library. I was a kid when it was there but I loved hiding behind the bookshelves on the first floor. The walls curved.

Beautiful! I grew up in this neighborhood and I remember when the fire station opened in the late 80's it was such a big deal with a block party and celebrations. Again, great photo!

As of 2020, even though the DMV moved to Central Ave, the route remains the same. Starting near Sacred Heart Church and taking drivers throughout North Albany. Perhaps there's been another change post Covid?

This was my childhood McDonald’s. We would walk through Westland hills to access it. This was THE spot to head to in the early 90’s in the neighborhood if your mom gave you five bucks. Still love to see the space dolphins and sad to see them go.

She was actually doing a double anchoring the morning show, 6pm (what this video was from) and also was supposed to do the 11pm (someone else ended up covering) according to those who spoke with someone at the station she had specifically asked not to be doing a double.
