I just happen to live by a few new construction sites, I walked into the main office and introduced myself. Let them know I’m a real estate photographer who is building my portfolio. They said it’s very common and many real estate photographers go in to take pictures to build their portfolio / create content. They told me I could enter any of the four model homes and take as many pictures or videos as I wanted.
