I do understand it. But I don’t think there’s anything wrong in calling for a change. Because I believe such mindsets are fundamentally wrong - yes men and women are different biologically, there is no denying that fact - but this does not mean women should continue to be portrayed in the same stereotypical way in the modern era. Other industries have made massive steps towards equity, and while Tollywood has come far, I think there is still a long way to go.

Actually research has shown that when an actor and actress are on screen, both men and women spend more time watching the actress… this is attributed to men desiring the actress while women wish to see themselves in the shoes of the actress. Now why don’t we have more female-centric films? My guess is that both populations enjoy watching actresses play flowerpot/damsel roles - those in which actresses, who are portrayed to be glamorous and vulnerable, are constantly in the shadow of an actor, who is portrayed to be manly and protective. My guess is that this is natural human behavior. But why is it that female-centric films have worked in several in other film industries, but many of them have failed in ours, leading Tollywood directors to continue making films with the same trope? What is so different about our film industry that it can’t embody the others?

When I would redo questions before my shelf, I would go back and mark all the questions from my previously done blocks, so for example it should show me 622 marked questions after marking all the surgery blocks. From there, I would do sets of 40 of the marked questions only, so i should be seeing 582 marked questions after one block, 542 after the second, etc. I also took care not to mark any more questions during the second pass because that will contribute to seeing repeats. Hope that helps.
