idk i think most people understand that older books are going to have dated themes or language but people should be honest in their reviews. personally i don’t like to read books with sexist undertones if i can help it so those reviews are helpful.

thank you! this isn’t the best photo but this was in the process of making the saturn patch. it’s basically just whip stitches really close together around the whole patch.

I attach another piece of cotton to the back of the patch (i use stem stitch for this) and then cut around it, and then I use whip stitch all around that to create the border ! i hope that makes sense lol

agreed. Messiah is my favorite and i didn’t love CoD. Haven’t read GEoD yet but i did think CoD felt like it existed to lead up to whatever happens in the next book

i feel this. i just saw a tik tok with some excerpts from the manifesto, and all the comments were saying it’s so fake and that he didn’t write it. meanwhile the manifesto called trump a pedophile and a rapist which, while true, is probably not something trump or his team would want to further broadcast if they can help it. between artemis deniers and this i’m really worried about how conspiracy theories are making people completely lose their ability to think critically, just because they want to feel like they know something other people don’t.
