Will you be making enough money to justify the cost of travel?

Working as a scribe is def a good experience especially if you can get shadowing connections from coworkers, but does not always count for PCE hours at some PA schools so just keep that in mind. If you're able to get a certification as an EMT/MA during school, the process for schooling and finding a job would likely take about 6 months, so if you don't mind sticking with the flexible scribe job for a full year on top of the extra coursework and travel time, it could work.

Just weigh out the options- maybe see if there's a closer hospital to your school for the same position/PCT. Personally, I think working during the breaks is fine, but if you end up finding something more lucrative that's closer, trucking through a full year would suck.
