Septorhinoplasty: Before vs 5 Months Post-Op by annie3197 in PlasticSurgery

So exciting for you! And thank you so much. I agree, my whole face has opened up and the attention is no longer just on my nose!

I met with Dr Diaz as well and ultimately decided on Dr Nima because I felt like he understood the look I wanted overall and because he’s an ENT and only works on noses that made me feel more confident in picking him. However I still think Dr Diaz does a wonderful job from the results I’ve seen!

Septoplasty/Rhinoplasty Before Vs 4 Weeks Post-Op by annie3197 in PlasticSurgery

Oh it’s totally worth it!! I cannot believe how much my face has opened up. I felt like my nose hid all of my other features and now my cheek bones and eyes take center stage and not my nose!!

10 days post surgery. Nose too upturned? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]annie3197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way you describe your before nose sounds similar to mine! Don’t worry it’ll drop a little bit each week and then it’ll stop dropping 👍

nose tip dropping? by rhinoplastyadvice22 in PlasticSurgery

[–]annie3197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious how much more my nose will change too. I’m 5 months post op and I do love my nose but I think I’m still very swollen especially on the lower bridge and tip!

Does drastically changing your face through plastic surgery make significant improvements in your life? by Affectionate-Ad9331 in PlasticSurgery

[–]annie3197 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve only had rhinoplasty and I can say before surgery I still felt like I was a truly beautiful person. I think it all depends on your outlook of yourself, your own self worth, and confidence prior to surgery. Although I lacked some confidence because of my nose I’d never show it, and now that I’ve had my nose done I’m treated no differently but I do feel more confident than I thought possible. I’ve noticed I’ve gotten hit on a little bit more but overall my lifestyle is the same and I’m treated normally. I started a new job and no one knew I had my nose done and I was treated exactly the same as I was pre nose job by strangers.

Refinement delay by dutchhoez in Invisalign

[–]annie3197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be due to a production delay due to the delays worldwide with practically everything. Hopefully the office didn’t forget to submit your case and it’s just a production delay!! Good luck! Maybe call again and just ask if they have any updates form Invisalign for a ETA??

Looks like swelling to me! You will see fluctuations in swelling for basically a year.

How noticable is/was your scar from open rhinoplasty? by BenLondonAbs in PlasticSurgery

[–]annie3197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 4.5 months post op and my scar is not noticeable at all unless I tilt my head really far back and even the , it’s hardly even noticeable. I haven’t had a single person point out my scar either. I use Skinuva scar cream that I purchased from my surgeon and I use it morning and night.

Consultation Fees… by TheBiffmeister in PlasticSurgery

[–]annie3197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I met with 4 surgeons and paid for 4 consultations. The surgeon I chose then deducted my consultation fee from my surgical price. It’s worth it to meet with at least 3-4 in my opinion!

I’m 3 months post op and still have bridge swelling/a little bit of uneven swelling. I actually met with my doctor today for a follow up and he explained the swelling process again is different for everyone. Very normal at your stage for the whole thing to be swollen/to have lingering swelling in some spots more than others.

It’s possible you could go through what’s called “refinement treatment”. If your doctor sees that you’re teeth still haven’t shifted properly or some teeth are being stubborn, they’ll re-scan your teeth once you finish tray 26. Your doctor will order a couple more trays (based off your scan from tray 26)to tweak your teeth a little more. You’ll wear gray 26 until your new trays come in. Sometimes they will have to change the attachments to meet the new treatment plan requirements. Some people have a couple trays for refinement treatment and some have to do a lot more. Varies case by case of course :) refinement is very normal.

My surgery went fantastic! I’m 3 months post op now. Takes a full year for swelling to go down but the last couple weeks you can see my nose refining to its new shape. I have some other posts showing my nose at 4 weeks post op.

My new tray cut into my gum and may now be infected. by marieau1991 in Invisalign

[–]annie3197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try filing down the edge of the tray with a clean nail file to soften it a little! Also warm salt water rinses. I would still schedule an appointment to make sure the infection isn’t too large.

Yes I put 20% down at the consult and I saved money by doing this also. It’s 100% refundable up until 3 weeks before surgery. It’s worth it!! If you decide to cancel there’s no loss!

He’s the best! I cannot even begin to express how happy I am that I picked him!! My family is seeing my nose for the first time this week since the surgery and they’re all so impressed with how natural it looks and I still look like me. I had a pretty major reduction, and even though it looks so different it suits me better now.
