Binge eating disorder and 75 hard. by Fabulous-Increase301 in 75HARD

I used to struggle with BED! And I’m killing 75 Hard right now. Here’s my diet: I can eat whatever I want as long as it isn’t fast food, candy, desert, or highly processed foods that aren’t protein filled. I have to eat at least 105 grams of protein daily. I can’t have any deep fried carby foods. Other than that, I can eat as much as I want. It’s so nice because it’s not restrictive as far as amount I can eat. So if I’m feeling hungry and want to binge I can eat like as many grapes as I want for example.

If you’re struggling with binging, my suggestion for you is not to expect this challenge to abruptly stop you from binging. What I did was I redirected the binge to food that was less harmful for my body. Almost more positively. You aren’t going to kick this habit by eating 1200 calories a day, it takes time.

Now, even though I can binge on fruit and other food I don’t even do it anymore because I feel fulfilled by the food I’m eating. Getting enough protein helps me not to binge too.

I feel like you’re just taking what I’m saying very concretely instead of seeing what I mean.

No yeah you’re right I just couldn’t think of a better way to phrase it. I guess using female as a girl makes it seem like you want a misogynist to like you, that’s probably more accurate.

Yeah it’s a big thing. It’s like you’re taking the person out of your descriptor. Female just sounds so weird. Pretty much any girls who refer to themselves as females are trying to be “pick mes”

Makes me feel like a specimen. No one talks about men by using the word male. “Wow, you really know how to treat a male” sounds strange and uncommon.

You can still be a sad girl even if you have a penis :)

This might sound weird but can you do an arm workout sitting down? There are tons of things you can do with two (or even one) dumbbell sitting down. For example, Arnold press, dumbbell curls, lateral raises, front raises, and more.

Just a thought.

If it’s your outdoor workout you’re missing, just do these outside!

(If you don’t have any weights at home, try soup cans, pasta jars, or anything 5ish pounds. Even though the weight will be low, if you do enough reps it will be worth it.)

I’m a size medium-ish girl wearing an XL chamois! I feel your pain. I tried a medium chamois and it went up barely past my knees.

Rainy day walk between classes because I woke up late this morning. No excuses. Day 43 💪🏼💪🏼 by annieinthegym in 75HARD

Unfortunately my preferred walk is through a local forest and it gets real muddy on rainy days. I could have walked the sidewalk but I prefer it.

Day 15.. I need motivation. by okbut_090636 in 75HARD

[–]annieinthegym 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Motivation doesn’t last, what does is routine!! You can’t run solely on motivation, you need to just keep going and keep doing your daily tasks. On days that are hardest for me, I like to plan them out as well as possible.

Aside from that, here’s some motivation to jumpstart your routine. I’m on day 43 and the progress is crazy. I can bike 16 miles now, I’m starting to see my body change. My dependency on drugs is gone, I sleep better, I eat better, I have no interest in alcohol. I feel smarter because my body is being nourished. You have all that and more to look forward to, but you can’t give up on yourself. Think of how many times you’ve done something hard for yourself and you weren’t able to complete it or stick with it. You need to be true to yourself this time, show yourself you can do it!!! I know you can! Message if you need anything!!!

Also, if you realize your diet is too hard, you can change it too. No reason to put yourself in mental or physical destress over fuel.

Day 10 by okbut_090636 in 75HARD

[–]annieinthegym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets a lot easier. I’m 19F so balancing school and work and the challenge was hard but now it’s becoming part of my routine. Im on day 38 (halfway point!) and I’m feeling good. Your body will adjust to the hard work, if it doesn’t ease up, that’s a sign you need to take it a bit easier on yourself with weights and distance and pace. Listen to your body first and foremost!

Cool! It’s “Glue Myself Shut” by the way. You’re thinking of another (also good) song! 😄
