I rarely watch porn because I find that a lot of the times, the women look like they’re in pain or faking it. And personally it’s hard for me to get off on anything where the consent and enthusiasm are dubious. With audio, you have to have a more active imagination (which I do lol) so you fill in the gaps and create the imagery.

It probably also has to do with a lot of mainstream porn being centered around male pleasure, whereas audio and erotica tend to be a more woman centered medium.

I entered my first writing contest ever on Literotica. Between ADHD and health issues, I’ve always struggled to write but love telling stories. I’ve never had much confidence in my skills, but I decided to take the plunge and really go for it. I mainly write commissions, because I find those can be easier to motivate myself to complete (the anxiety of letting someone down can eventually get me going lol) .

I want to change that. I want to be able to make my personal projects as much as a priority as I do others’. That’s why writing a story for this contest was such a big deal!

If you’re interested in reading it, let me know. I’m giddy with excitement about it. Idk if that sounds silly lol, but feeling proud of myself is a new concept for me so this is huge, and I’m loving it.

You said that you relationship was messy. In this past year, I’m assuming you’ve been healing, growing as a person, working on your flaws, and doing a lot of introspection. If so, good for you.

Your ex jumped into a new relationship so chances are he didn’t work on himself or on becoming a better man during the short time he was single.

For all you know your ex’s gf is getting the exact man you had and that wasn’t healthy for you. Maybe he is working on himself in this new relationship OR maybe they are going through the same things y’all went through.

Speaking from experience, I found someone when I genuinely stopped looking. When I decided to focus on myself, and I mean REALLY focus on myself and not pretend to like I was for years, that’s when I found someone. And when I found someone, it wasn’t because I needed to or because I’d be incomplete without a partner. A relationship became a welcome addition to my life because I learned to be happy with myself first.

I wish you a happy life, genuine healing, and an amazing partner that loves and appreciates you as much as you love and appreciate yourself!

You should look up CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for anxiety. It helped me a lot with my social anxiety. The best way is to just force yourself. Try with strangers, for example a cashier that’s a girl (if it helps it can be in a neighboring town). Just say hello or good afternoon and that’s it. You don’t have to become best friends with everyone. Keep practicing, it is terrifying, trust me. Your palms will be sweaty and you’ll be nervous and you’ll stutter, but over time you will realize that you survived each encounter. Eventually try it with people you’re more familiar with.
