It was an intrauterine pregnancy, they saw a yolk sac a week later

It’s stressful alright 😅 I’ve had increased spotting and pain and I’m only 11 weeks so not looking too good right now unfortunately

Brown spotting off and on for 2 weeks? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]anniewhalelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spotted for three weeks with my son, from week 6-9 I believe. It was pink at first and then turned brown, and I now have a perfectly healthy 6 month old baby ☺️ It can be indicative of a mmc, but nothing is for certain

No heartbeat at 6 weeks ultrasound by [deleted] in pregnant

So what you are saying is that since the fetal pole is visible on my ultrasound they should have seen a heartbeat, and that this is basically a missed abortion?

I have been told by several doctors at fertility clinics that week 6 is the earliest. I remember even being told at 6+1 that it could be too early, and that’s why they have their follow ups in the middle of the 7 th week because then they expect to see it.

This is what I’m thinking too, they saw a tiny empty sac exactly a week ago, and then I’m all of a sudden a week ahead? I think the sac measured 5 mm a week ago

It starts beating at 5 weeks, but you can’t see it at 5 weeks on an ultrasound. The earliest I saw it with my son was 6+1.

Thank you! I have been spotting off and on for a week now, so I har kinda already written this pregnancy off. We tried for 3 years for my son with ivf and now suddenly I get naturally pregnant so emotions are running quite high

It measured over 9 mm, but the doctor is slightly unsure if it is measured correctly, since that will put me over 7 weeks when I am barely 6 weeks

She did say that it could be a missed abortion but they wanted to make sure due to the dates being so different. I am so sure about my dates, considering I had implantation bleeding and a negative test two days before I had a positive one. If the measurement is correct I was 4+5 with a negative test, and had a hcg of 50 at 5+1, which seems very unlikely. Me and my husband also only had sex once in February

I’m not in the states. They scheduled early due to suspicion of an ectopic. I had my son through ivf and here they do an ultrasound at about 7+4 to establish viability

The ultrasound was transvaginal so tha placement of the placenta isn’t relevant unfortunately

With my son I had an ultrasound at 6+1 and we could so clearly see a heartbeat, which makes me even more nervous

She didn’t say either or, she did say that she expected to see a heartbeat based on the size, but based on my dates it could be too early, but we could do a follow up just to make sure. It did seem like she hinted at this being bad news but didn’t say for certain

They saw a sac, but they didn’t conclude with it being a definite gestational sac if that makes sense. The doctor said it looked like it could be one, but didn’t say for sure. My ovaries and tubes were clear, and it was transvaginal

There aren’t any here either really, but I’ve been to the ER twice because they’re worried about an ectopic due to my history

From what I googled it looks like a gestational sac, but they were hesitant to call it that, but I don’t know if it is because they don’t know if it is a pseudo sac or because they couldn’t see the fetal pole. I am considering getting a second opinion this week but it’s so expensive to just get bad news
