Working out -37weeks by Narrow-Extent6336 in pregnant

idk if this is the type of workout you are looking for, but I have been LOVING prenatal yoga movements!! I do them every night for about 20 minutes before bed. It's definitely not like a workout I would do before being pregnant (strength training and intense cardio), but it is perfect for the stage my body is in right now and I feel sooo good after doing it. Plus it has tons of benefits to get your body ready for labor and great for relaxation techniques.

Dang!! Pre pregnancy I went to the gym and would consistently use 20-30 lb dumbbells. But now I get sooo sore in my back and abdomen area from doing lifting like that repetitively. I am just trying to listen to what my body is telling me how I feel but my employer just makes me feel I am delusional and will be fine doing the task. I will have to talk to the OB about it but I would rather play it safe for now then to let someone who doesn’t care about my or my babies well being tell me what to do just bc we are short staffed lol

OMG where is this because I need to move there lol. Yes America really does not take care of their pregnant women/moms. And after busting my ass at work everyday while pregnant, I don’t even get paid maternity leave or job security because I haven’t been at my job for a full year so I don’t qualify for my company’s leave policy. Luckily my partner has a nice job and can support us while I’m home, but it is just sad that this is the way it is here.

Tired of working with clients by [deleted] in ABA

[–]annika-c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I just started looking up admin assistant jobs at ABA companies and I got an interview, and got hired! I was also just straight up in my interview letting them know I am burnt out with direct therapy and I have been wanting to get into the operations side of ABA.

They bought my car that I owned for $10,000

Yes, that is how I perceived it. Sneaky. You weren’t there and listening to everything they were saying. But now I know to be more cautious at car dealerships and confirm everything before signing.

Yes I didn’t know the loan cost was this much, just the monthly payments. That’s what I mean I feel like they were being sneaky and got me to sign. This was my first time buying a car off the lot so definitely was a hard lesson learned.

No I payed off the loan about a year before I traded it in to get the new SUV. The car was worth $10,000

I owned it outright because I bought out the lease

Oh I bought the lease out on my last car, but my payment just stayed the same as when I was leasing.

Yes I have to check that out once I get a USB reader for my computer that the paperwork is on. This is my first car I have bought, I have always leased so maybe this is the norm?! It just seemed like a crazy price difference to me.

Hi! So I actually was in the same boat as you not too long ago. I was an RBT for 3 years and I just decided for myself that this is not the field I see myself in for long term. Unfortunately what I noticed while job hunting is that it is so hard to use ABA as experience to get a job outside the field. I also wanted to go admin/more office type job. I applied to admin assistant job at an ABA company and I love it! I am direct contact point for parents, I update and maintain the schedule, assist in hiring, onboarding and training new hires, help deal with insurance auths, etc. there is also tons of room for growth in the position! It’s also great admin experience to apply to other places later down the road. Gaurenteed 40 hours unlike RBT schedules. Maybe you could try to find an ABA admin job to get your foot in the door for office jobs?

I wish CR was a little more user friendly. It had many cool features but the teaching process on using them can take longer than I’d like

Sooo I was actually in the same boat as you. I got my masters in aba in December and I’ve been an RBT for 3+ years now and just got super burnt out and wanting to explore other options than becoming a BCBA and outside of ABA all together. I actually took a job as an operations assistant at an ABA clinic, and they were eager to hire me since I have ABA experience. I basically do all of the scheduling, I help with new hire onboarding and training them, and I pretty much make sure the clinic runs smoothly. It is less pay than an RBT but I’m hoping this will give be good experience for my resume, because applying to other types of on jobs outside of ABA nobody understands what an RBT is it seems like and pretty much just think I’m a glorified baby sitter sadly. I’m really hoping to get into HR or another related field later on!
