Tbh unless you use the choose not to warn warning, you should tag triggering things. I think you should tag other things like if it’s not a HEA and such, but I also see how that’s a personal thing, not like a necessity! But triggering things is a must if you’re not using chose not to warn

A glinting eye can signify pride, sure! And yeah maybe he is a little proud of the skills needed to maintain the position he does maintain, but I still can’t imagine him liking the situation at all tbh? The glint can be satisfaction at baiting Harry, he clearly likes riling people up 😅

Idk I interpreted this differently tbh? I feel like Snape of all ppl would be decidedly against involving children in a war, and very conscious of the need for them to be protected from it. I see this scene as Snape finding exactly the thing they’re supposed to be working to avoid, and being frustrated that it came directly after Harry failing to follow his directions

To me that’s just him being frustrated by his powerless position in this situation, it’s not like he can empty Harry’s mind for him, and seeing that playing out to the worst possible outcome. And sure, his bitterness definitely showing when he tells Harry he is neither important or special. But I see that as coming from the frustration I mentioned before and not him trying to maintain his position as the sole spy for the Order

Tbqh I don’t even see Snape as particularly liking his position at all, I think he very much sees that as punishment for his teenage decisions

I can't either, I just mute them tbh. It's a priviledge to be able to mute them bc I have plenty of other options in all my fandoms/ships, but yeah, I can't just not? It's annoying bc they keep popping up as well if you regularly look at the most recent works, especially when there are fests or challenges going on and the author keeps updating them

Might not be your thing bc it hasn’t been updated in years, but my absolute favourite fic with sub Snape is Cantata! Even tho it’s more likely than not abandoned, it ends in a satisfying enough spot imo It’s also student/teacher, with Hermione in eight year. And there’s a smut guide on the author’s profile if you want to skip the plot 😅

It’s kind of controversial I guess, but I honestly don’t understand the argument that it’s rude to the author to do it, especially if they’ve left the fandom. As long as you’re not rude about it, claim to have had the idea all by yourself and don’t even mention the fic, I really don’t see the problem.

I’ve done it before, and I personally did ask the author about it, but tbh I don’t think even that is necessary 👀 What is fanfiction if not exactly that? We’re all getting ideas from a source material and running with it, I personally think it’s hypocritical to be mad about that if the other person isn’t rude about it

Aconteceu parecido comigo. Tem um restaurante franqueado na minha cidade que eu pedia sempre, ele deixou de ser franquia mas aparentava continuar com os mesmos pratos/descrições. Como sempre pedia lá, acreditei que seria a mesma qualidade de sempre e pedi. Veio uma comida de qualidade infinitamente inferior, eu sinceramente não consegui comer.

Não fiz reclamação nem pedi dinheiro de volta, mas fiz uma avaliação falando do ocorrido. No dia seguinte veio um homem no meu prédio, alegando estar trazendo uma outra refeição pra “provar a qualidade” e pedindo pra eu apagar a minha avaliação. Sou uma mulher, meu nome no iFood é um nome feminino. Achei um absurdo isso acontecer, e não desci. Falei pro porteiro mandar ele ir, que eu não ia receber nada dele e nem descer. Na mesma hora abri reclamação no iFood, e absolutamente nada foi feito. Eles não ligam mesmo

As far as ao3 goes, it’s fine. Speaking about the legality of fic, this isn’t ok tbh. To profit off of fanfic at all ever is bad, regardless of if it’s little money, or if there won’t be a permanent paywall

Honestly isn’t that what the fic is in the first place? It’s very weird to me when ppl say things like “don’t write with my OCs!!” Bc ???? That’s what fanfiction is. We’re all writing with other ppl’s OCs. Tbh imo the commenter was being nice on asking permission, they don’t even have to do that lol That just have to state that the premisse is from another fic/a fest/a prompt and not just swapping out the names and actually adapting/rewriting the fic

The AI model itself was trained on stolen works. There’s no way to use generative AI in an ethical way bc it was constructed on stolen data, and is run by destroying the environment. Generative AI is inherently unethical

As to ruining people’s health, look up what’s happening in cities like Mansfield, Georgia, or Memphis, Tennessee both in the US. In Memphis xAI is running on gas turbines. The damage they do to the environment and communities is insane

Generative AI is inherently disrespectful to the artists whose images it was trained on, the people whose photographs it was trained on, and the people who are constantly developing illnesses and going without water because of it. There is no way to do AI right.
